Care Center - Leon

Follow Leon's escape from the Care Center in Resident Evil 9: Requiem. Fight zombies, block attacks, and use the chainsaw to get out.

The scene switches to Leon pulling up at the Care Center. A nurse in the entrance hall tells him that Dr. Gideon is expecting him. When you regain control, follow the nurse through the Rehabilitation Ward to an office where the nurse asks Leon to wait.

During the subsequent cutscene, you may notice that Leon is also wearing a rather swish watch. This is a Hamilton Khaki Field Chrono.

After a little while, an emergency announcement will come over the tannoy. The nurse will run back into the office and tell Leon that he needs to leave. However, a zombie doctor comes up behind her and runs her through with a chainsaw.

Get Out of the Room

When you regain control, wait for the doctor to take a swing at you and as he does so, press L1 to block his attack with the hatchet, unlocking the Untouchable trophy. If you stun an enemy, you can finish them off with your hatchet (R2). Do this three times to unlock the Chop Chop trophy.

Shoot the doctor in the head a couple of times and melee him to get him to drop the chainsaw. Note that you need to wait for the chainsaw to stop spinning before you are able to pick it up. In the meantime, more zombies will pour into the ward. Use your pistol, melee attacks and your hatchet to fend them off. When you are able to, pick up the chainsaw and use that, although beware that one of the zombies may have picked it up themselves. Keep an eye out for handgun ammo drops and boxes with yellow tape which you can smash for more ammo. Don't be afraid to use the Requiem - you may take out more than one enemy at a time. When the coast is clear, use the chainsaw to cut through the bolt on the southern door, allowing you to leave the room.

Before going through the door, climb up to the area to the right and search a medicine cabinet to find a Mixed Herb (G+G).

Investigate the Care Center

Head through the now-open door and continue through the door to the west.

Note the Mr. Raccoon memoriam (1/25) on the mantlepiece. Destroy it with your hatchet (R2) to unlock the related trophy. There is a second trophy awarded for destroying all 25.

Head up the stairs to the Central Hallway where we left Grace earlier. You will see the creature grab Grace again but Leon riddles it with magnum rounds, blowing its head to pulp. After Grace and Leon exchange introductions, the grille slams shut, leaving them on opposite sides. As more gates close, blocking off any hope of escape, Leon hands Grace his Requiem magnum. However, when he turns round, he finds Gideon waiting for him.
