If there are items that you don't need (herbs, ammo, etc.), leave them. Leon will come here later and can grab anything that Grace leaves behind.

West Wing - First Floor

When you regain control, head down the stairs. You can examine the door at the bottom of the first flight if you like but you can't do anything with it right now. Continue to the other set of stairs and head up, grabbing a Green Herb from a niche. If you bring up your inventory, you can combine your two herbs to create a Mixed Herb (G+G).

Continue down to the Central Hall and make your way to the Guard Office which serves as a Safe Room. Search the desk to the left of the door to find an Antique Coin.

Ignore the nearby item box for the time being. Grab the Green Herb from near the fireplace and bring up your inventory, allowing you to combine this and the Mixed Herb (G+G) to create a Mixed Herb (G+G+G) which will give you a full heal. Now use the Item Box and store the Mixed Herb, unlocking the Out of Sight, Out of Mind trophy. Afterwards, examine the writing on the board to unlock the Whiteboard Scrawl file (9/75).

Read the papers on the table to unlock the Care Center Pamphlet file (10/75).

Head down the stairs to the Medication Room where Grace will find a blind girl locked in a glass-walled cell. Jeff Gray, the man lying apparently unconscious on the floor, will shout at Grace to get away before expiring. Afterwards, Grace will pick up his West Wing Keycard.

You can examine the cell doors if you like, but they require Level III clearance to open.

Return to the Central Hall and use your keycard to open the double doors to the West Wing Administration Offices. After going through, ignore the passageway leading north because the door is locked. Instead, follow the passageway south and west past a door which requires a jewel to open. Continue round until you find a door which you can open which leads to the Kitchen. Make a note of the zombie chef armed with a machete. Take a moment to observe his behaviour patterns. He will say "next" followed by "next is" and move over to the trolley where he will exclaim "wrong" before scrabbling around in some viscera and then returning to his station. If he spots you, he will start chasing you which will make this section a lot more difficult. Hide behind the counter in sight of the Chef's chopping station.

Wait for him to say "wrong" and turn round and then sneak past him and leave through the door to the north.

On the other side, make a note of the zombie to your right complaining about the light. Ignore him for the time being and head west where you will find a Makeshift Knife sticking out of a sideboard.

You can use knives to fight off enemies which grab you and to stab enemies on the ground, saving bullets. Knives wear down over time and will eventually break. Before this happens, you will want to break them down into scrap.

The nearby console table is locked but examining it will mark it on your map for later reference. If you open the door a short distance to the east, you will see a zombie cleaner trying to clean the restroom.

If you wait a moment, she will go off and start feeding on a corpse by the cubicles, allowing you to sneak in and grab a Green Herb. Back outside, note the light switch next to the sideboard where you found the knife. Flick the switch and hide behind a partition. Wait for the zombie who was complaining about the light to come and switch it off and make yourself scarce.

Head east to the hallway where the light-averse zombie was standing originally and look for a Green Herb. Unlock the southern door to create a shortcut back to the Central Hall. You may want to go back to the Safe Room to store the herbs and free up inventory space. When you're ready to proceed, head through the door to the north to reach the Dining Room.

Run iinside and pick up the B934 pistol from the floor. Run around the table and grab an Empty Bottle from the sideboard. The two zombies on top of the table will remain oblivious. However, a zombie armed with a Hunting Knife will emerge from underneath the table and start pursuing you. Run through the door in the top left corner and vault over the counter to the Filing Room where you will find Handgun Ammo x2 on a desk. Wait for the zombie from the Dining Room to start climbing over the counter into the Filing Room and leave through the door.

Back outside, continue west along the corridor and pick up the Antique Coin on a table.

Head through the doorway on the left and look for a breakable crate with Handgun Ammo x8. Quickly load your pistol and continue down the steps to the west and crouch. A zombie will come down the stairs to investigate the noise. If he goes behind the stairs, great. If he advances towards you, be prepared to take him out. Note the door at the bottom of the steps with a red handle. If you try to turn it, it will simply break off, leaving a hexagonal protrusion.

West Wing - Second Floor

Head up the stairs and make a note of the bucket of blood on the landing. Head up the next flight where you will find Handgun Ammo x4 on a table. You should now have enough ammo to deal with the zombie who followed you from the Dining Room, creating a clear path back to the Central Hall. Afterwards, return to the second floor.

From the landing, head through the doorway and grab the West Wing Map from the wall.

Bang for Your Buck / Deadly Duet
You may want to backtrack and save your game in case this next bit goes wrong. You only have one Requiem bullet at this time so you want to make it count. Go through the door to the east to the Bar and Lounge where you will see three zombies, including a dangerous zombie singer who has a damaging screech. Approach them and slash the nearest zombie with your knife, making sure you aggro all three, and run back out into the corridor. The zombie you slashed will likely throw a
