The SG (SIG) 556 is the middle-grade machine gun in Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D. It offers decent damage per shot, a good amount of ammo capacity, and less recoil than the AK. It lacks piercing capabilities like the MP5 and doesn't deal as much damage per shot as the AK. It can be useful for setting up melee kills against weaker enemies, but the AK is superior for stronger foes.

Jill's knife deals 190 damage per slash and counts as a melee kill if an enemy is finished off with a knife slash. Due to its lower damage, it is best suited for weaker enemies. Jill utilizes her knife effectively with quick forward stabs, which hit enemies faster than other characters' wider slashes. The knife is most effective when used while moving; aim and slash at enemies to dispatch them quickly.

The M3 shotgun has slightly higher firepower per pellet compared to the M37 shotgun. A full pellet spread hitting an enemy can deal significant damage. While the M37 deals 2800 damage with a full spread, the M3 deals 3500 damage with a full spread, making it capable of inflicting more damage on larger enemies like an Executioner or Super Salvador when fired at close range. Similar to the M37, the M3 is most effective against larger enemies only when used at close range.
