Navigate Bootes floors and defeat the Tyrant Mitra boss in Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux. Includes EX Missions and recommended demon passwords.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
In the Schwarzwelt, locate and inspect the Enemy Search reading of a Night Fomorian without passing it to initiate battle. It is weak to Wind.
  2. 2
Beyond the battle area, choose the east path to find a switch that activates an elevator and stairs down to 3F.
  3. 3
Inspect the north wall on the east side of the small area to find a hidden portal leading to a larger area with damage floors.
  4. 4
In the southwest of the damage floor area, a pit leads down to 2F, where you can find a box containing [Sleep Harpe x1] and a path back to previous areas of 2F.
  5. 5
During a Full Moon, talk to the Hariti demon near the damage floors to accept the EX Mission: "That unforgettable taste...".
  6. 6
Return to 3F and take the stairs at the north end to reach 4F.
  7. 7
On 4F, avoid the east path and follow the west path to a fork. Head south from the fork to find stairs leading up.
  8. 8
Continue north to fall down and mark more of 4F, then drop down to the 3F damage floor room.
  9. 9
Use the elevator to ascend to 4F. It is recommended to heal up on 1F first.
  10. 10
Continue along the path on 4F until you trigger an event with Jimenez, who automatically battles a Fallen Bifrons. You will then meet Bugaboo, who becomes Jimenez's demon.
  11. 11
Choose your dialogue option: Talk to him (Chaos), Finish him off (Law), or Leave (Neutral).
  12. 12
Proceed up the stairs to 5F.
  13. 13
Explore 5F and head up the stairs in the southeast to reach 6F.
  14. 14
On 6F, use the terminal on the west side. In the northwest, a Strike Team member will give you [Chakra Drop x3].
  15. 15
Take the easily visible stairs up to 7F.
  16. 16
On 7F, use the Heal Spot east of your entry point.
  17. 17
From the second door upon entering 7F, go west down a hall until you hit a wall. Find a portal to clear a door.
  18. 18
Go through the cleared door and search the south part to find a wall switch that fixes an elevator on 5F.
  19. 19
Head north and loop around to find a path down to another part of 6F.
  20. 20
In the northwest of this 6F area, find a box with [Dis-Strain x4]. Use the terminal on the west.
  21. 21
Find stairs down to a small part of 5F containing a box with [Ma Incense x1].
  22. 22
Return to 6F and use the newly fixed elevator to ascend to 7F.
  23. 23
On 7F, near the dead end in the north, find a portal on the west wall to open a door.
  24. 24
Through this door, find a terminal and stairs leading up to the next boss.
  25. 25
A demon named Halphas on 7F offers the EX Mission: "A sport for gentlemen.", which rewards the UMA's Ball key item.
  26. 26
To prepare for the boss, it is recommended to be in the low 20s with similarly leveled demons. Avoid being weak to Ice. Ideal equipment includes the Green Vest and Alabaster gun.
  27. 27
Head up to 8F and through the door to face the boss, Tyrant Mitra.

Boss: Tyrant Mitra

  • HP: 1200 / MP: 9999
  • Weaknesses: Wind
  • Resistances: Gun
  • Nullifies: Ice, Expel, Curse
  • Attacks: Mabufudyne (Ice), Explosive Fist (medium single target Phys), Rampage (random target Phys).
  • Special Attacks: Waking Dream (all-target damage, can inflict Strain status causing MP loss per round), Light of Order (100% accurate instant-kill attack, not Expel or Curse based).
Tips
  • Use debuffs like War Cry or Tarunda on Mitra to lower his attack. Debuffs are more effective than buffs due to the risk of instant-kills.
  • Mitra cannot remove buffs or debuffs, so push them to +4/-4 if used.
  • If Mitra's attack is debuffed, Media can be sufficient for healing.
  • Revive fallen demons with Revival Beads and resummon them.
  • Consider using the provided password demons for Law, Neutral, or Chaos alignments if they are around level 19.
