(3) ACTIONS

The B and X Buttons serve as the primary Action buttons in Sonic Adventure 2. The specific action performed by these buttons changes depending on the in-game situation. If multiple actions are possible, you can press the Y Button to cycle through and select a different action. For instance, when in the Chao Garden (a special area where you interact with your Chao), pressing the B Button might pet your Chao. However, pressing the Y Button can change the action to 'pick up,' allowing you to lift your Chao.

The actions you start with are considered basic. Additional actions can be acquired by finding upgrades. The actions available to each character are generally similar to their counterparts: Sonic and Shadow share similar actions, as do Tails and Dr. Eggman, and Knuckles and Rouge.
