    1st Mission: Find the way to the colony's core!
    • Start To Checkpoint 1: Begin by taking a platform up to a dynamite-strapped door; destroy it and proceed. In the dark area, lock onto and destroy enemies with your laser. Turn left, eliminate the two enemies, and go through the door. Use the pulley to descend. At the bottom, destroy the door with three dynamite packs. Continue down the passage, defeating enemies. Enter the next room, destroy the two enemies that fly out, and find the switch for the locked door to the left rear of the room, behind boxes. After passing through, destroy the hidden enemy and boxes. At the bottom, destroy the enemy on the platform above toxic waste. Lock onto and destroy the numerous Beetles that appear. Find the spring near the entrance in the toxic waste to access a small area with two 10-ring capsules and an extra life. Otherwise, take the left platform up, hit the switch, and go through the door to reach the first checkpoint.

    Checkpoint 1 To Checkpoint 2: Enter a room that seems to loop. From the start, go left and follow the area to the far left corner. Turn around to find three steel boxes stacked; climb them to reach the top platforms. Navigate until you find a missile to shoot, which will destroy metal cages ahead. Jump and hover across, following the rings. In the next room, use the two platforms leading up to a high platform. Proceed across to another platform that takes you higher. Destroy the three Beetles before jumping and hovering to the next checkpoint.

    Checkpoint 2 To Checkpoint 3: Destroy the two enemies before the next door and continue, eliminating any enemies in your path until you reach a room with a locked door. Destroy the wooden boxes to the left until steel boxes are revealed; climb them to hit the switch. After the next door, destroy the bomb-launching enemy and proceed through the following door. Navigate the catwalks, being cautious of edges without railings and flying enemies. Reach a door, destroy the enemy behind it, and exit through the opposite door. In the next area, destroy the numerous Beetles on the catwalk surrounding a platform for points. Hop onto the platform. On the way down, destroy the Golden Beetle enemy to the right for 1000 points. Hover across to the bottom and go through the door. Destroy the two approaching enemies and proceed through the next checkpoint.

    Checkpoint 3 To Goal: After the next door, lock onto at least 12 enemies for a Perfect score (2000 points) before they attack. Take the platform up, destroying enemies along the way. At the top, continue to a dead end and drop down to a catwalk. Shoot nearby enemies, then hit the missile to open cages behind the door. Destroy the dynamite on the door and proceed. Shoot the approaching Beetles, open the next door, destroy the enemy, and the goal is ahead.

    2nd Mission: Collect 100 rings!
    • This mission requires collecting all visible rings. Hit the switch under the wooden box before the speed booster decline. In the area with toxic waste on each side, turn right to find a spring that leads to a pulley with rings. In the room that loops, collect rings from capsules. Go to the top level, shoot the missile, and collect the rings leading to the next section. You should reach 100 rings shortly after the second checkpoint.

    3rd Mission: Find the lost Chao!
    • After reaching the second checkpoint, unlock the door using the switch. Proceed outside onto a catwalk platform. At the gap, look to the right side below to find a hidden platform. Drop down onto it. Take the lift up.
