    Mission 1: Infiltrate Eggman's Hidden Base!
    • Start To Checkpoint 1: Run through the initial tunnel, hitting speed boosts and jumping through rings for bonus points. Reach the ramp at the end to jump over the gap and reach Checkpoint 1.

    Checkpoint 1 To Checkpoint 2: Hit the hourglass switch at the dead end to open the door. Take the pulley up. Use the poles to swing to platforms, or drop down to collect ring capsules and hit another hourglass switch to open a path. Destroy the enemy after the loop and pick up the Bounce Bracelet. Use the bounce attack to reach higher platforms. Hit another hourglass switch, run through the doors, and collect the key. Place the key on the weird platform to open the door to Checkpoint 2.

    Checkpoint 2 To Checkpoint 3: Choose between the simple railing path or the harder bottom section with more enemies and rings. Navigate past spinning spiked ball enemies and use the bounce attack. Find the key by going right, either via rail or the bottom route down large steps and pulleys. Return with the key, hit the hourglass switch, and take boosters up the quarter pipe. Hit the switch after the door and run through the tunnel to reach Checkpoint 3.

    Checkpoint 3 To Goal:
    • Ancient Shrine Route: Play the Mystic Melody on the shrine past Checkpoint 3 to reveal rings. Light Dash through them to a pulley. Take it up, play Mystic Melody again on another shrine to reveal more rings leading to a platform or rail. Aim for the rail to grind to a switch that activates a rocket. Take the rocket to an enemy.

    Normal Route: Go forward, hit the hourglass switch, and run through the doors (somersaulting through the last one may be necessary). Continue to the area with the enemy mentioned in the Ancient Shrine route.

    Mission 2: Collect 100 rings!
    • This mission is straightforward for ring collection. Run through the initial tunnel and Light Dash through the row of rings. At the pole section, drop down to find two ring capsules. Continue collecting rings throughout the stage.
