Walkthrough
- 1Mission 1: Find 3 pieces of the Master Emerald!
The stage layout includes a starting platform, an opposite platform, and side platforms with pillars. The right side platform has a diggable picture leading to an upgrade. In front of the start is a temple surrounded by water. Destroying robots and a turtle near the temple causes the turtle to go into the water, allowing you to ride it to another section. A tall pillar behind the temple can be used for scouting. Above the temple, an airlift keeps you floating. Ledges are present on the sides. The ledge above the starting point has breakable boxes revealing a spring. The top floor is a small ledge around the stage; above the starting point, destroying four metal boxes reveals a diggable picture leading to the lost Chao location for the third mission. The oasis section, accessed via the turtle, has a starting/center area, an underwater section, and left/right sections. The underwater area contains a prison with a window-like entrance, reachable by grabbing an underwater turtle that takes you through a tunnel. A Chao underwater directs you to this turtle. Wearing sunglasses allows you to find a hidden spring under the prison, useful for retrieving emerald pieces. The left area has pillars, one with a Chao box, leading to a grassy section with butterflies and the Three-Headed Wall. This area has a small pool with a center platform and three heads on the walls. A docked boat is to the left. Reaching the top of the center platform reveals an airlift effect. The right area features five cement structures, some on the ground, some from the wall. Dropping down near the fifth structure leads to a weight. Further on is a statue with two pillars, the Statue's Pool, with rubble and springs underwater. - 2Mission 2: Collect 100 rings!
This mission is straightforward. Collect rings from the start and work around the stage. Abundant ring capsules and stray rings are available to easily reach 100 rings without needing to access the oasis section. - 3Mission 3: Find the lost Chao!
From the starting point, go straight up to the top of the stage. Behind the bomb-shooting enemy, break the metal boxes to reveal a diggable picture. Dig through it, find the shrine, play the Mystic Melody, and a door will open, revealing a warp. Enter the warp to a small room with a water hole where the Chao is located. - 4Mission 4: Collect the Emerald pieces in 3 minutes 30 seconds!
Memorize the stage layout and the locations of the emerald pieces. Practice playing the stage a few times to get a feel for their positions. Killing enemies along the way will also score extra points. - 5Mission 5: Clear Hard mode!
The first emerald piece is found by going straight up from the start, breaking a wooden box to reveal a spring. Use the spring, glide forward, and collect the piece. The second piece is in the center of the circle of rings above the temple structure; find a high area and jump into the center. The third piece is in the oasis. Put on the sunglasses, drop into the water, and find the hidden spring under the center island. Use this spring to launch into the tunnel and float back up to the emerald piece.
