Alright, let's go over some general tips that'll make your journey through the Zone a bit smoother. Think of these as the little things I wish I knew when I first started out.

General Tips:

• Mission Success: If you're rolling with other Stalkers on a mission and they bite the dust, you'll often fail. So, do your best to keep your buddies alive until you get that sweet reward!
• Storage: Found a safe spot? You can stash your extra gear in boxes scattered around bases. Handy for when you're overloaded.
• Weight Management: Exceeding the 50 KG weight limit drains your stamina super fast when running. Keep an eye on your inventory and sell or store anything you don't absolutely need to stay below that limit.
• Over-Encumbered: If you somehow manage to pick up more than 60 KG (your max + 10 KG), you'll be stuck in place until you drop some of that loot.
• Upgrades & Mistakes: Some weapon and armor upgrades lock out others. It's a good idea to save your game *before* you commit to an upgrade, just in case you change your mind or make a mistake. You can always reload.
• Weapon Maintenance: Don't forget to repair your weapons! A jammed gun is the last thing you want when things get hairy.
• Armor Maintenance: Same goes for your armor. Keep it repaired to ensure it's actually protecting you effectively.
• Stealthy Approach: Silenced weapons are your best friend for sneaking into enemy territory and taking foes out quietly.
• Strategic Upgrades: Try to get your weapon and armor upgrades between missions when you've got the cash.
• Selling Weapons: Always unload your ammo before selling a weapon. You get to keep the bullets, which is a nice little bonus.
• Item Highlighting: Holding down the 'F' key will highlight all nearby pick-up items within a short radius. If you walk close enough, it'll automatically grab them for you. Super useful for looting quickly!
• Ammo & Gear: Don't waste your hard-earned rubles buying weapons and ammo. You'll find plenty from fallen friends and foes. The only exception might be some specialized sniper rifle rounds, as most enemies tend to use 5.39 or 5.45 calibers.
• Trader Conditions: Unlike older games, traders here are picky. They'll only buy guns and armor in good condition. Always check the repair cost versus the sale price before fixing something up to sell – sometimes you'll actually lose money by repairing it first!
