Conquer the final boss, Darth Malak, in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Learn strategies for both light and dark side players to overcome the Star Forge's power and finish the game.

Alright, this is it – the big one! You're about to face Darth Malak himself, and he's going to unleash the full might of the Star Forge against you. Don't sweat it, though; we'll get through this.

First up, Malak summons a bunch of droids. Seriously, six of them, and they just keep coming back. You've got a couple of options here.

Option 1: The Tech Approach

You can head to the computer terminals scattered around. Use them to disable the droid production. If you're short on security spikes, don't worry! Just take out one of the droids using the 'Destroy Droid' power (if you picked that up), and spikes will magically appear in the storage bins near the terminals. Easy peasy.

Option 2: The Direct Approach

Or, you can just go full-on lightsaber mode and bash the door down. Honestly, I was surprised you could do this the first time I played, but hey, it works!

When I first played, I spent ages just fighting those droids, thinking that was the only way. I didn't even realize you could disable them or bash the door until way later. You *can* get infinite experience this way, but honestly, don't bother. The game caps your level at 20, and you should have hit that ages ago. So, just pick your method, get through the door, and let's go face Malak.

E. [WSTADM] Darth Malak – The Final Battle

This is the moment we've been waiting for! The final showdown. Whether you've been leaning towards the dark side with all those offensive Force powers or the light side with your defensive abilities, there's a solid strategy for both.

Your absolute best bet is to start the fight by casting Force Immunity, Improved Energy Resistance, and Master Speed. Once those buffs are up, just spam Master Flurry. Seriously, if you keep that up, you should be able to melt Malak's health down without needing to pop a medpack or cast Heal. My light Guardian shredded him this way, and I'll tell you about a little trick that makes it even easier.

Here's the twist: when Malak's health drops to about 50-75%, he'll run over to a Jedi trapped in a tube. He'll gloat about using the Star Forge to heal himself with the captive. Looks like he's got a bunch of extra lives, right? Nope! Once that scene is over, you'll see the captive Jedi is now hostile.

This is where you get to shine. There are several Force powers that can 'kill' these captive Jedi instantly: Death Field, Throw Lightsaber, Force Breach, Destroy Droid, and Force Lightning. You *must* defeat all eight of these 'new' enemies before you can finish off Malak for good. If you don't have any of those specific powers, this part will be a real grind, so just keep hammering away at him. Once the last captive Jedi is down, you can finally take Malak out for good.

And that's it! You've beaten the game. Depending on your choices, you'll either be basking in your glory as the new Dark Lord or receiving medals for your heroic deeds. Congratulations!
