Discover tips for Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic, including extra Bastila conversations for males, Korriban strategy, and a Star Forge Deck 2 glitch.

Male Character Conversations with Bastila:

  • If you are playing as a male character, you will have two additional conversations with Bastila.
  • The first is a continuation of a previous conversation. It is recommended to avoid certain dialogue choices. Bastila will then lead you to a private location for further dialogue.
  • During these exchanges, if you do not initiate a kiss, Bastila will make you kiss her.
  • The final male-only conversation with Bastila is very brief. You will ask about the kiss, and she will state that you will discuss it after Malak is defeated.

Korriban Strategy:

  • After finding the Star Map on Korriban, when you must choose to side with Uthar, Yuthura, or yourself, defeating Uthar allows you to skip fighting all other students.
  • After dealing with Uthar and Yuthura, save your game and then load from that save. This may prevent enemies from attacking you, especially if you defeated Uthar. (This method is not guaranteed to work every time.)
  • If the academy has either Uthar or Yuthura as the leader, not everyone will attack you.

Malak Combat Tip:

  • When fighting Malak, if you are having trouble with the Guardian jump attack, save your game after he uses a Jedi to regain health.
  • If you die mysteriously after his conversation, reload the game. Using an Advanced Medpac twice may grant you two doses.
  • If you find yourself at around one-third to half health, save your game, reload, and use medpacs to quickly restore your health. This makes him significantly easier to defeat.

Star Forge Deck 2 Glitch:

  • Deck 2 of the Star Forge is known for its constant enemy spawns, making it difficult to progress without interruption.
  • After acquiring your Customized Jedi robes (Star Forge robes for light-aligned players or Darth Revan's robes for dark-aligned players) and heading towards the elevator to the Command Deck, create a save immediately after obtaining the robes.
  • Your party members may die within seconds of this save. However, you can still reach the elevator. Since party members are required to continue, saving and reloading can revive them. This glitch allows you to reach the Command Deck with less combat.

Sand People Encounters:

  • The Sand People ambushes in the dune seas are not randomized.
  • Look for pieces of junk and bodies scattered around the sea; these are the locations where ambushes occur.
  • To loot these junk piles without fighting the Sand People, make peace with them first.

Merchant B'ree and Saul Battle Strategy:

  • There is a Rodian merchant named B'ree located on Korriban near the port, just after exiting the area with troublesome Sith.
  • B'ree sells approximately 5 Plasma grenades, which are effective. Purchasing these before the Leviathan mission can be very helpful against Saul.
  • Strategy for Light-Aligned Characters against Saul: Use an Ion grenade, an Adhesive grenade, a Plasma grenade, and another grenade of your choice (not Plasma).
  • Strategy for Dark-Aligned Characters against Saul: Use Kill, Force Storm twice, and Drain Life, followed by more Force Storm.
  • Companion Strategy against Saul: Have Carth use Concussion, Ion, and two Plasma grenades. Have Bastila use two Plasma grenades and two other grenades of your choice.
  • After these actions, Saul and nearby enemies should be defeated or close to it. If not, you or Bastila can finish off remaining enemies, while Carth and any other surviving party members deal with the two enemies guarding the door behind you.
  • Note: This strategy was written after the Leviathan battle. If circumstances differ, try to keep the Dark Jedi near Saul and use your best grenades. If dark-aligned, Force Storm is effective against such powers.
