Learn how to obtain essential life support packs from Jolee on the Ebon Hawk in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. A quick guide for players.
Walkthrough
- 1Return to the Czerka area and proceed until you encounter a force field. Jolee will disable it temporarily, allowing passage into the Lower Shadowlands.
- 2Upon entering the Lower Shadowlands, head south. You'll find a Wookiee fighting Mandalorians. Defeat the Mandalorians.
- 3If you choose to help the Wookiee, give him a medpac for Light Side Points (lsp). Alternatively, you can gain Dark Side Points (dsp) by insulting him.
- 4To gain more dsp, continue to talk to the Wookiee and repeatedly insult him as he asks for help healing.
- 5If you choose not to help the Wookiee, you can still trigger the associated quest by exiting and re-entering the area after he dies. Search his remains for a note that initiates the journal entry for the 'Mandalorian Shadows' quest.
- 6Follow the southeastern path from the fork. Defeat any Kinrath you encounter. You can collect Kinrath corpses for later use.
- 7At the next fork, take the southern path. Continue south at the subsequent fork to reach a ritual area.
- 8Place a Kinrath corpse on the vine to summon a Terentatek. This is a challenging fight; use defensive Force powers and offensive powers sparingly due to its Force immunity unless you have high Wisdom.
- 9After defeating the Terentatek, retrieve the blade lodged in its skin and search its remains for additional items.
- 10Locate the 'madclaw' Wookiee, who may be found by staying along the eastern wall from where the first Wookiee was attacked. He will attack and then surrender.
- 11To gain dsp, kill the madclaw Wookiee. To gain lsp, spare him. If spared, he will ask for Beca's sword, which is in the Terentatek you just defeated. He will then go to start a riot.
- 12To find the Star Map, proceed to the far southwestern part of the area, past the swoop bikes. Look for a building containing an alien holocron.
- 13Interact with the holocron and ask it questions. It will pose situational questions to determine your alignment.
- 14First Question: Choose 'I would accuse him to be safe' for dsp. Choosing 'I trust Zaalbar, I won't accuse him' grants lsp.
- 15Second Question: Choose 'I prepare my forces to attack in 10 days. I do nothing to the city' for dsp. The follow-up option 'That's right; the deaths of my people will spur my forces on' also grants dsp. Choosing 'I evacuate the city' grants lsp.
- 16Third Question: This question is only presented to light-aligned players. Choose 'I let the attack happen' for dsp.
- 17Dark-aligned players automatically receive the Star Map if all answers were correct. Light-aligned players can get lsp by answering two questions incorrectly. The holocron may deem you unacceptable if you threaten it, leading to an attack by two droids. Defeat them using 'destroy droid' and Force Lightning.
- 18After defeating the droids, speak to the holocron again. It will grant access, stating that your combat performance made you acceptable.
- 19With the Star Map acquired and all enemies defeated, unequip your weapons and walk around the area near the lone Wookiee's original location. Two Wookiee corpse sites are present.
- 20When Mandalorians de-stealth, immediately re-equip your weapons. If you encounter issues equipping weapons, attack for a few seconds until you can.
- 21Engage and defeat the first wave of Mandalorians. Locate the second wave and defeat them as well.
- 22Search the remains of the second wave for a missing signal device. Place this device on one of the swoops to provoke the Mandalorian leader and trigger an attack from the remaining Mandalorians. Defeat them.
- 23Inform Chuundar of your success. If you did not kill the Wookiee who would give you a reward (Frayer), return to Gorwooken.
- 24If you did not kill Frayer, you may have to fight Gorwooken, who is relatively easy. After this, Chuundar will transport you out of the village. If you did not complete 'The Lost Wookiee' side quest, it cannot be completed now.
- 25If you killed Frayer, there is nothing further to do in this area. Be violent to gain dsp when Gorwooken transports you back to Chuundar.
- 26If you saved Frayer, attempt to resolve the conflict non-violently. Chuundar will fight, making a peaceful resolution impossible. This fight is moderately difficult. After the fight, the Wookiees will rebel and expel non-Wookiees. If you did not obtain the droid head from Eli and Matton, it is too late now.
- 27Regardless of your choices, Beca's Ceremonial Blade will be your reward.
Tips
- Jolee can provide life support packs upon request while on the Ebon Hawk. This is a convenient way to stock up without needing to find them elsewhere.
- The 'Mandalorian Shadows' quest can be triggered by searching the remains of the Wookiee after he dies, even if you did not help him.
- The Terentatek fight requires careful use of Force powers due to its immunities.
- The Star Map puzzle involves making alignment-based choices. Pay attention to the dialogue options to achieve the desired alignment points.
- If you encounter issues re-equipping weapons after the Mandalorian ambush, attacking briefly should resolve the problem.
- The outcome of the Wookiee conflict depends on whether you saved or killed Frayer, leading to different quest resolutions and potential rewards.
