Learn how to interact with enclaves and complete their missions in State of Decay. Boost trust, gain resources, and recruit new survivors by helping them.

There are various groups of people living around the map called enclaves. You can find them in residences and interact with them to access their storage locker. Building trust with enclaves through successful missions improves influence costs and can lead to them asking to join your community. Completing enclave missions is optional, but failing to do so can result in a minimal loss of morale and trust.

Enclave Missions:

  • Scavenger: Escort scavengers and receive a cache of one resource.
  • Stranger in trouble: Clear zombies around someone in distress and escort them back.
  • Missing survivor: Locate and find a missing survivor for an enclave.
  • Trade goods: Escort a survivor to another enclave for a trade, defending them from zombies. Accepting trades, even unfavorable ones, builds trust and can lead to new survivors.
  • Clear out an infestation: Help enclave survivors by destroying a zombie infestation.
  • Zed hunts: Find and kill a specific freak zombie.
  • Besieged survivors: Defend an enclave from waves of zombies by clearing the building, boarding windows, and protecting the survivors. Hurting survivors or letting them die results in mission failure and can cause the enclave to collapse if trust is low.
  • Eager survivors: When trust is full, an enclave may ask to join your community. Escort them to your base and check their storage for ammunition.

Wilkerson Missions:

  • Accusations: Confront the Wilkersons about accusations of robbery.
  • A Helping hand: Drive an injured person back to their home for the Wilkersons, gaining access to new guns in their storage locker.
  • Nervous Survivor: Investigate a transmission and choose whether to pay 5 ammo for a survivor's debt to the Wilkersons or decline. This choice impacts future recruitment.
  • Unwelcomed guest: Decide whether to help the Wilkersons with a trade by acting as a neutral observer. Agreeing leads to the next mission and is necessary for an achievement.
  • Neutral Observer: Escort a group to the Wilkersons for a trade. If you help the Wilkersons, you will later hear of the group's demise and find new guns in the Wilkerson's storage, though at a higher influence cost.
