While the initial days of Stranded Deep are often a scramble for immediate survival, establishing a sustainable food and water source through farming is crucial for long-term success and island exploration. Relying solely on foraging will eventually deplete resources, especially given that some natural resources, like palm trees and their fruits, do not regrow in their original spots. Agriculture provides a consistent, renewable supply of sustenance.

Getting Started: Crafting Farm Plots

The foundation of any farm is the farm plot. These allow you to cultivate various crops that provide essential food and hydration. You'll need basic resources to craft them:

• Wood Sticks: Gather these from fallen branches, small trees, or by chopping down larger trees with an axe.
• Rope: Craft Rope from 4 Fibrous Leaves, which are abundant on small palms and Yucca plants.

Once you have the materials, open your crafting menu (default 'C' on PC) and navigate to the 'Farming' section to craft a Farm Plot.

Watering Your Crops: The Crucial Step

Crops in Stranded Deep require regular watering to grow. Neglecting this will lead to wilting and eventual loss of your planted seeds. The most efficient way to water your plots is by using a Water Still.

1. Craft a Water Still: This essential item requires:
   • 1 Coconut Flask (crafted from 1 Coconut)

5. Water Your Plots: Approach your Farm Plot with a water container in hand and interact with it to water the planted crop.
