Preparing for Battle

Prepare for Apex Predator encounters in Stranded Deep. Bring a motor-powered raft armed with Refined Spears, a Spear Gun, and a Bow with Refined Arrows.

Before engaging any Apex Predator, ensure you are fully prepared. Bring a fully repaired and upgraded raft, ideally with a Raft Motor (1 Engine Part, 1 Fuel Tank, 1 Scrap Metal, 1 Lashing) for quick maneuvers. Stock up on Refined Spears (at least 10-15), a Spear Gun with plenty of Spear Gun Ammo (crafted from Scrap Metal), and a Bow with Refined Arrows (1 Stick, 1 Refined Knife, 1 Feather). Crucially, bring numerous Bandages (1 Cloth) and Antidotes (crafted from Pipi plants) for healing and poison. Cooked food and fresh water are also essential. Consider crafting a Gyrocopter (1 Engine Part, 1 Fuel Tank, 1 Scrap Metal, 1 Lashing, 1 Cloth) for a safer, elevated attack strategy against some bosses. Always save your game before approaching the arena.
