Phases:

  1. Defeat the two Foot Soldiers.
  2. Defeat Botta.

Strategy:

  • Your first priority should be to take out the two Foot Soldiers as quickly as possible, since they have much lower HP than Botta.
  • Once the Foot Soldiers are dealt with, focus your attention on Botta. He's significantly more challenging than the Foot Soldiers and can cast spells, similar to Genis.
  • It's a good idea to have your party members focus on Botta while you handle the Foot Soldiers.
  • If you find yourself needing to heal quickly, don't rely on Kratos; use a Gel instead.
  • Pay attention to Botta's actions. If he starts defending during your combos, immediately stop attacking and switch to guarding. This is crucial to avoid taking heavy damage from his counter-attacks.
  • Keep up the pressure and guard when necessary, and Botta will eventually fall.
  • After the battle, a scene will play out, and you'll find yourself back on the World Map. Head directly East and examine the monolith to get a long-range view of the Triet area. Then, make your way to Triet.
  • Upon entering Triet, a scene will occur. After it, exit the Inn and head to the West side of the market. Purchase a 'Flying Disk' from 'Heat Storm', equip it, and then go customize a 'Duel Ring'. You can then sell the 'Flying Disk' you just bought.
  • Next, visit 'Sand Shield' and buy two 'Ribbons', two 'Gloves', and one 'Soft Leather'. Use the 'Soft Leather' to customize a 'Hard Leather' for Kratos. Once done, you can leave Triet.
  • Your next destination is Triet Ruins. When you exit Triet, head West with a slight southward direction, and you'll reach the first Seal, Efreet's Seal.
  • As soon as you enter Triet Ruins, a scene will play, and you'll have to fight two 'Fire Elements'. They're not too tough.
  • After the fight, Kratos will teach all four party members a skill to defend against magic and other attacks.
  • Check the hole to the West to trigger another scene, and Raine will receive the title 'Archeological Maniac'. Enter the hole.
  • Once inside, head West. At the fork, go South. At the very end, you'll find a chest covered in rocks. Use your Sorcerer's Ring to clear them away and obtain a 'Lemon Gel'.
  • Return to the fork and head North. At the end of this path, there's another chest, but be cautious – it's a Fake! These are tough enemies that can only be damaged by magic.
