Get your party ready in the Town of Miguel! Learn how to recruit Chester, buy essential gear, and snag Cress's Flare Talon Tech before heading to Venezia.
Alright, you've made it to the town of Miguel! It's pretty similar to Toltus and Belladum, but now it's called Miguel. Harrison's got us all geared up to head to Venezia next, so we can catch a boat to Alvanista.
First things first, you've now got 5 characters in your party! This means you'll want to mess around with the battle formation. There's a new 'Exchange' option where you can swap out party members. You can bring Chester in now – he's level 7, so he's pretty weak starting out, but it's totally up to you if you want to put in the effort to level him up. I did, and it was worth it!
Before we jet off, let's do some quick shopping and training. Head west from where you start, and you'll find the item shop. There's a woman on the right side of the entrance who sells a large sack of food, which lets you carry even more provisions. Definitely grab that if you're a hoarder like me!
Now, look for the training ground building in the top-left corner of town. Inside, chat with the captain on the left. He's got the Flare Talon Tech for Cress available for purchase. It's a good move to pick that up while we're here.
The item shop here isn't exactly stocked with the best gear, like gummies and all that, but it's a good place to refill your spectacles if you're a completionist aiming to analyze every enemy. If you're planning on leveling up Chester, I'd recommend grabbing a Composite Bow for him. You might also have some spare armor and weapons in your inventory, like a Breast Plate or Iron Gloves. If you happen to have a spare Blue Talisman, remember you can combine a Rune Bottle and a Talisman to make one! For Chester, you can place him at the far left of your battle formation; this way, most enemies won't even reach him during battles while he's still weak.
You can grab any other armor and weapons for your other party members when we get to Venezia. To get there, just head straight north from Miguel, passing through the crossroads that leads to Euclid.
