Guide to completing the Pilgrimage of the Seven Graces in The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. Learn where to find each shrine and what donations are required for your blessings.
- 1Shrine 1: Fields of Kummu (Grace of Humility)
Head north-east of Pelagiad, on the north shore of Lake Amaya. You can walk from Suran or Pelagiad. Find the small golden statue by the road. Donate 'muck' (likely a typo in the source, likely meant a specific item or gold, but the source only says 'muck') and ask for a blessing.
- 2Shrine 2: Vivec, Temple Canton (Grace of Daring)
Go to the Temple canton in Vivec, second from the south, on the south-west corner. You'll need a potion of rising force (a levitation potion). Donate it to receive the blessing.
- 3Shrine 3: Vivec, Palace Canton (Grace of Generosity)
This shrine is just outside the Palaca canton in Vivec, next to the previous one. Go up the stairs and donate 100 gold to either shrine.
- 4Shrine 4: Vivec, Puzzle Canal (Grace of Courtesy)
This is the trickiest one. The Puzzle Canal is beneath the Palace canton. The entrances are the large grates near the waterfalls. Head down to level 3 and enter through a grate. Go up the ramp on the right (if entering from the left side of the canton) into the central connecting tunnel, then find the door to the Centre of the Puzzle Canal.
In the center, you'll find the temple stone. 'Breathe the waters' by getting in the water and letting your breath run out. Your health will drop, but before you die, a secret pathway appears and your health is restored. Follow this path to find the dremora Krazzt. Read the shrine, take the four plain silver longswords from the chest, give one to Krazzt, and read the shrine again for your blessing. You can then Almsivi Intervention out or backtrack.
- 5Shrine 5: Gnisis Temple (Grace of Justice)
Take the Silt Strider to Gnisis and find the Temple in the town center. Donate a Cure Common Disease potion (you can buy one there if needed) to receive your blessing.
- 6Shrine 6: Koal Cave (Grace of Valour)
This cave is south of Gnisis and will be marked on your map. Walk south from Gnisis, cross the river, and follow the path under arches. The entrance is tricky to find; follow paths south-east from Gnisis, then head towards the river. Look for barricades leading down to the water, and the entrance is in the water itself.
The shrine is just inside. To avoid fighting the dreughs, you can donate a dreugh wax at the door to get the Grace of Valour.
- 7Shrine 7: Red Mountain
This is the final and most dangerous shrine. You need to enter Red Mountain itself. The only entrance is Ghostgate, as the Ghostfence seals off the rest. It's easiest to reach Ghostgate from Balmora, but it's a long journey.
Faction Reputation Gain: 20
- Keep 'The Pilgrim's Path' book with you at all times; it's essential for knowing where to go and what to donate.
- For the Puzzle Canal, the source mentions using an Almsivi Intervention scroll if you get lost, but suggests it's not needed. It's a good backup if you're unsure.
- If you don't want to fight through Koal Cave, donating the dreugh wax is a quick way to get the blessing.
- The final shrine in Red Mountain is the most dangerous part of the pilgrimage. Be prepared for tough enemies.
