Skyward Sword HD offers a wealth of post-game content for the truly dedicated adventurer. This comprehensive checklist will guide you through every remaining challenge, secret, and collectible to achieve 100% completion.

I. Hero Mode & New Game+

Upon completing the game for the first time, you unlock Hero Mode. This New Game+ option allows you to restart the adventure with all your collected Rupees, Treasures, and upgraded items (excluding story-critical items like the Beetle or Clawshots). Enemies hit harder, and there are no heart drops from defeated foes or cut grass, making combat a true test of skill. Consider this your first step towards ultimate mastery!

II. Goddess Cube & Treasure Hunting

Even if you diligently sought them out during your first playthrough, it's easy to miss a few. Now is the time to track down any remaining Goddess Cubes and their corresponding Goddess Chests in the Sky. Consult your Adventure Pouch's map for any unactivated cubes. Remember to use your Dowsing ability to pinpoint their exact locations on the surface and the chests in the sky.

• Missing Goddess Cubes: Revisit each region (Faron Woods, Eldin Volcano, Lanayru Desert) with your Dowsing ability set to Goddess Cubes. Pay particular attention to areas requiring the Clawshots, Whip, or Bomb Bag upgrades to reach.
• Goddess Chest Rewards: Ensure you've opened all 27 Goddess Chests. These contain valuable items like Heart Pieces, Rupee pouches, and rare upgrade materials.

III. Heart Piece Collection

To maximize your health, you'll need to collect all 45 Heart Pieces. Each four pieces combine to form a full Heart Container. Many are found in Goddess Chests, but others require specific actions or mini-game victories.

• Batreaux's Gratitude Crystals: Deliver all 80 Gratitude Crystals to Batreaux in Skyloft to receive a Heart Piece as one of your final rewards.
• Fun Fun Island: Master the Fun Fun Island mini-game to earn a Heart Piece. This requires precision with your Loftwing.
• Clean Cut Mini-Game: Achieve a high score in the Clean Cut mini-game in Skyloft to win another Heart Piece.

• Nighttime Skyloft: Explore Skyloft at night to find many hidden crystals. Use your Dowsing ability set to Gratitude Crystals.
• Side Quests: Complete all available side quests, such as finding Kukiel, helping the Fortune Teller, or retrieving the lost baby rattle. Each completed quest typically rewards you with 5 Gratitude Crystals.
• Specific Locations: Don't forget the crystals found in places like the Sparring Hall, the Knight Academy, and various homes around Skyloft.

V. Item Upgrades & Potions

To truly be prepared for anything, ensure all your items are fully upgraded and you have a stock of powerful potions.

• Scrapper's Upgrades: Visit Scrapper in the Bazaar to upgrade your Beetle, Bug Net, Bomb Bag, Seed Satchel, and Quiver. This requires specific treasures found throughout the world.
• Potion Upgrades: Visit the Potion Shop in the Bazaar and speak to the Potion Lady. She can upgrade your Potions (Health, Stamina, Air, Guardian) to their more potent versions, provided you have the necessary ingredients (e.g., Blue Bird Feather, Dusk Relic).

VI. Bug Collection & Treasures

For the completionist, gathering every type of bug and treasure is a must. These are crucial for item upgrades and potion brewing.

• Bug Net Mastery: Utilize your upgraded Bug Net to catch every type of bug. Different bugs appear in different regions and at different times of day.
• Treasure Hunting: Revisit all areas with your Dowsing ability set to Treasures. Digging Mitts and Bombs are essential for uncovering hidden stashes.

VII. Fledgling & Expert Silent Realms

If you haven't already, challenge yourself to complete the Silent Realms again, aiming for perfect runs or simply revisiting them for the thrill. While not strictly "post-game," perfecting these trials is a mark of a true hero.

VIII. Boss Rush

Once you've completed the game, you can access the Boss Rush challenge via the Thunderhead. Speak to Levias and choose to face a gauntlet of all the game's bosses. This is a true test of your combat prowess and can be quite challenging, especially on Hero Mode.
