Walkthrough

    As you enter, defeat the basic bandit units ahead.

    Head down the pathway to two rooms. Burn the roots on the right room with a fire weapon to access a chest. The left room is the main puzzle room; throw a cube onto the pressure plate to open the first main door.

    After leaving the first main door, normal and hard players can jump on scaffolding to the right for another chest. All other players should drop into the pit.

    Defeat enemies in the pit and enter the next room. Defeat the two enemies guarding another chest.

    Proceed through the opened door. Burn roots blocking a room on the left to access a cube. This cube is guarded by a large enemy; dodge its body slams and melee attacks.

    Bring the cube from the previous step to the room on the right. Behind a brick wall is another pressure plate; throw the cube on it to reveal a new room.

    Throw the cube onto the pressure plate in the newly revealed room. Head into the fenced-off door to the right, retrieve another cube, and throw it onto one of the two pressure plates in the main corridor.

    For normal difficulty: Re-enter the room from step 5 and head to the far back compartment. Drop onto scaffolding below to get the fourth chest on normal difficulty. Climb back up.

    Remove the cube from the pressure plate behind the brick wall (from step 6) and throw it onto the second pressure plate in the corridor. This unlocks the boss room.

Minotaur Tactics:

  • The Minotaur has a physical shield that can be destroyed by damaging the boss.
  • While the shield is up, the boss can jump and try to crush you with its shield or slam it down.
  • Other attacks include typical melee range AOE attacks, regular swipes, and a powerful double swipe where the boss charges its axe and glows golden. Dash backward to avoid the double swipe.
  • Respect the boss, as lower gear score players will find its attacks hit very hard.

Chest Locations:

Note: This ruin is only available on normal at the time of writing. Hard mode chests will be included when unlocked.

  1. The first chest on all difficulties is in the first room, locked away through vines you need to burn.
  2. The second chest is inside the room at the bottom of the pit.
  3. The first chest for normal difficulty is on the rafters between the starting room and the first pressure plate room.
  4. The second chest for normal difficulty is in the rafters room between the pit and the third cube room.
