Walkthrough

    At the start, turn down the mine cart rack. Defeat the two Zealot enemies.

    Proceed across the wooden bridge into the stone cavern.

    In the next room, turn the valve on the pipe to stop the water flow.

    Go to the opposite side, pick up a sphere from a red-circled tile, and throw it onto the other red-circled tile in the pool to open the next door.

    Head through the door to an outdoor area. Cross the rickety bridge and defeat the Zealots on the stone platform.

    Take the right path to find a chest. Return to the middle platform.

    Take the left bridge. Defeat the Zealot Elites and Sniper.

    Pick up the sphere they were guarding. Take it to the middle bridge and aim it towards the forward side.

Boss Fight: Chiron the Centaur

Stats / Weaknesses:

  • Chiron the Centaur is a challenging boss, especially with lower gear scores.
  • Ranged characters generally have an easier time.

Phases:

  1. Long Jump: The boss jumps to your location. Dash twice to avoid the landing damage.
  2. Spear Thrust: The boss thrusts its spear twice, sending out energy waves. Avoid the green beams.
  3. 180-degree swipe: The boss swipes in an arc with surprising range. Stay behind the boss or far away.
  4. Charge!: The boss charges at the player. Dash in the opposite direction of the charge.
  5. Call of Lightning: The boss calls down lightning strikes around your position. Avoid the targeted areas.

Strategy:

  • Use decent health-regenerating food.
  • Cheese Tactic 1: Kite the boss around the stone structures on the left and right. Use the edges of the ground and drop down when needed.
  • Cheese Tactic 2: Use the jagged edges of the ruin's pyramid at the back of the boss room to kite the boss.
  • When the boss uses Long Jump, dash twice to avoid damage.
  • For Call of Lightning, avoid the boss's strikes. It's possible to melee attack between blasts.
  • Ranged players can use free-aim weapons (like Icewind Arrow, Dual EM Stars) and stand at the edge of platforms when the boss is against them to deal damage.
  • Melee players can also use the edge strategy or play the corners and attack when the boss runs into a wall.
