The Metapod is a creature form that a Basal Golem must enter when attempting to transform into another creature at a mystical site. This transformation process is crucial, and any hit points the Basal Golem lost before entering the Metapod are carried over. This means you must be cautious when transferring a Basal Golem that is already low on health, especially if enemies are present.

Warning: If the Metapod is destroyed before the transformation is fully complete, you will lose the Basal Golem entirely.

Once the transformation process is successfully completed, the resulting creature is created with full hit points, irrespective of the Basal Golem's remaining health prior to the transformation.
