Summary:

Few units cause panic like a Stone Golem. If you see one coming for you, you know you're in for a fight. With extremely respectable combat statistics and a large number of hit points, they are a force to be reckoned with. Most units are only ever able to do 1 point of damage per attack to them, with Wizards being a notable exception. This makes them ideal at blocking off chokepoints while being supported by ranged units, as they can take a huge amount of attacks before finally going down. This alone would make them valuable, but they also have immense attack strength, making them just as dangerous when on the offensive.

Their only real drawbacks are their speed, and the fact that they are immune to conventional healing. To keep them topped up, you have to invest in Gnomes or keep a stash of Mason Mix items handy.
