    Underground River Exterior (BD5000): Travel west along the south edge, then north along the west edge, encountering greater wyverns and orc raiders. Find adventurers Jamven and Chorster trapped in vines. Attack one of them to free both.

    Talk to Jamven and Chorster to learn about a corrupt druid circle and receive a seed to deliver to the corrupted tree's roots. Agree to help.

    Return to the entrance area. Northwest, you may encounter goblin raiders. You can fight them or talk them out of it for experience.

    North of the second group, find warriors Rigah and Julann Rashemi on a quest. Minsc and Dynaheir will comment. They are considering joining the Crusade but need proof of its corruption. Find a dagger +1 in a nearby crate.

    Underground River (BD5100): At some point, a global event will occur, informing you that commanders have gone to Dead Man's Pass to parley with Caelar. You are advised to go there immediately, but it's recommended to complete the remaining areas of the Underground River and Dragonspear Castle first. Do not reveal your name in these areas.

    In the entrance cavern, bypass workers, Crusaders, and mercenaries. Go west, then south and east to a door. Ferrusk warns you and retreats. Follow him through the door.

    Behind Ferrusk is a tree. Place the druid's seed in the container near the tree. Speak with Ferrusk again. He is allied with Hephernaan but will turn against him upon learning of the Crusade's intent to open a portal to the lower planes.     West of Ferrusk, encounter two dark treants, a corrupted hamadryad, and a gargantuan spider.

    Further west, find more dark treants with a corrupted nymph and another gargantuan spider near ruins.

    Follow the path west and down to drow Kaelet and Umar, who seek the surface. Defeat an ankheg attacking them. If you keep things peaceful, they will leave.

    The path curves east. Near mushrooms, find four slime-poisoned Crusaders. One mentions someone who scraped lichen from the walls who might have a cure.

    Talk to Ferrusk. He has the cure for 2,000gp, or he will trade it for a myconid bloom sac.

    Return to the Crusaders. One takes the cure and helps the others. The last Crusader transforms into a mustard jelly. After defeating it, the last Crusader gives you a seal of Caelar and tells you to talk to Ladle at the supply depot, mentioning you saved him.
