A New Direction

Complete the A New Direction mission in borderlands the presequel, including the RedBelly boss fight and shutting off the jamming signal.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
In the initial area, defeat the Kraggons.
  2. 2
Proceed to another Scav base and kill the enemies outside.
  3. 3
Approach the gate, and after two turrets appear, use cover if needed to destroy them.
  4. 4
RedBelly will open the gate, and you'll face a group of troops.
  5. 5
Clear the compound and approach the door.
  6. 6
A Badass Outlaw will appear; use cover, your Action Skill, and other abilities to defeat it.
  7. 7
Go through the door the Badass Outlaw emerged from, ascend the stairs, and enter another outdoor area.
  8. 8
Defeat the wave of Scavs and another Badass Outlaw.
  9. 9
Proceed through the next door to initiate a boss fight.
  10. 10
Boss: RedBelly - Initially, RedBelly is a single entity with two parts (head and body). Its attacks include a wide-radius butt slam and a laser gun.
  11. 11
When RedBelly's health reaches a certain threshold, it splits into two separate bosses: Red (flies) and Belly (maintains previous attacks). Lil’ Scavs will spawn throughout the fight.
  12. 12
Boss Strategy: Hang out by the vending machines just before the arena entrance. Neither Red nor Belly can enter this area, allowing you to attack them safely while using the machines for cover.
  13. 13
After defeating RedBelly, find and press a switch on the wall opposite the entrance to open a door.
  14. 14
Head to the top and interact with the console to shut off the jamming signal.
  15. 15
Jack instructs you to go to the roof to do it manually.
  16. 16
On the roof, use the console and then destroy the three relays. Each relay is guarded by Scavs and two turrets.
  17. 17
After destroying all three relays, return to Concordia and find Jack in the city.
  18. 18
Locate the CU5TM-TP and present the smutty recording of The Meriff to override the elevator controls.
  19. 19
Enter the elevator to reach The Meriff's office, where you will encounter enemies and turrets.
  20. 20
After clearing the area, enter the office and watch the ensuing scenario.
  21. 21
Meet Janey in Concordia to complete the mission.

  • The vending machines near the RedBelly boss arena offer a safe zone to defeat both phases of the boss.

All the Little Creatures: Side Missions

Guide to completing the 'All the Little Creatures' side mission in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. Learn how to find Cybil, shut down the pump, and defeat the Torks.

Alright, so you've made it to Triton Flats and you're ready to pick up some side quests. The first one we're tackling is called 'All the Little Creatures.' You can grab this one right when you get to Triton Flats from the Bounty Board located just outside Moxxi's Back Door. It's a Level 9 mission, and when you finish it up, you'll get a solid chunk of XP, about 56 dollars, and you get to pick between a Sniper Rifle or a Grenade mod. Not too shabby!

Cybil, who's apparently the big cheese of the Liberation Front of Concordia, is going to ask you to help her save some critters she calls 'cuties.' Your first stop is to head to the waypoint she gives you. You'll use a jump pad to get to a teleport that'll whisk you away to Stanton's Liver. Keep your eyes peeled and your guns ready, because as you make your way towards the pumping station, you're going to run into a TON of Scavs. Seriously, be prepared for a serious firefight.

Once you've cleared out all those pesky Scavs (and maybe died a time or two, no shame in that!), you'll reach the pumping station. Inside, you'll find a few valves, each with a light above it. Your goal here is to turn these valves so that all the lights turn red. Doing this will shut off the pump. Now, here's the catch with puzzles like this: turning one valve is going to mess with the others. You'll have to fiddle around with them until they all sync up and turn red.

After you finally get all the lights to glow red and the pump sputters to a halt, the sludge will drain. Cybil will then tell you to go find those 'cuties.' Surprise! They're not so cute after all, and Cybil's change of heart means you now have to kill them. You'll start by needing to take down 5 'Not-So-Cute Torks,' and then you'll have to deal with one 'Even-More-Disgusting Tork,' which is a bit tougher. Once you've dealt with the Tork menace, just head back to that bounty board where you picked up the mission to wrap things up.

All the Little Creatures: Side Missions 2

Complete the 'All the Little Creatures' side mission in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. Guide includes walkthrough, tips, and rewards for saving Cybil's 'cuties' on Triton Flats.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Accept the mission from the Bounty Board outside Moxxi’s Back Door in Triton Flats.
  2. 2
Head to the waypoint and use the jump pad to reach the teleport to Stanton’s Liver.
  3. 3
Make your way to the pumping station, engaging numerous Scavs along the way.
  4. 4
At the pumping station, turn the valves until all the lights above them are red to shut off the pump.
  5. 5
Once the pump is off and the sludge drains, kill 5 Not-So-Cute Torks.
  6. 6
Kill the slightly tougher Even-More-Disgusting Tork.
  7. 7
Return to the bounty board to complete the mission.
Tips
  • Be prepared for a lot of combat with Scavs on your way to the pumping station.
  • Expect to die a few times while fighting enemies and figuring out the valve puzzle.
  • Turning one valve affects others, so experiment to find the correct combination to turn all lights red.

An Urgent Message

Follow our guide to complete the 'An Urgent Message' side mission in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. Free Professor Nakayama and defend him from the Lost Legion.

Alright, so you've finished up 'Home Sweet Home' and now you've got a new side mission called 'An Urgent Message' popping up. It's available from Jack's Office or the Bounty Board, and it's a Level 18 gig. You'll be looking at about 3208 XP, 155 dollars, and you get to pick between a grenade or an assault rifle as a reward. Not too shabby!

Walkthrough
  1. 1
First things first, you need to head over to the Hyperion Hub of Heroism. Keep an eye on your map for the waypoint; it'll lead you right to where you need to go.
  2. 2
You're looking for the entrance to the Harren Lockup area. Once you find the door, press the button to open it up and step inside. Be ready, because as soon as you enter, some Lost Legion enemies are going to show up. Clear them out first!
  3. 3
Once the immediate area is safe, you'll find Professor Nakayama locked up in a cell. Your goal is to free him, but you'll notice the button to open his cell isn't working. Bummer.
  4. 4
Nakayama will tell you to use the nearby terminal to open the door. Give it a shot, maybe once or twice. Soon enough, a Dahl soldier is going to chime in, demanding an authorization code. Honestly, who has time for that? Your best bet is to just shoot the terminal. Yeah, I know, but it works and frees Nakayama.
  5. 5
Now that Nakayama's out, he needs you to defend him while he sends his urgent message to Jack. Enemies are going to start pouring in from both the top and bottom of the area, so be prepared to fight them off. Keep Nakayama safe!
  6. 6
Once the message upload is complete, you'll need to hit the transmit button. After that, just chat with Nakayama to wrap up the mission. Easy peasy.
Tips
  • When you first enter the Harren Lockup, take a second to identify where the enemies are coming from. It's usually from both above and below, so be ready to pivot your attention.
  • During the defense phase, prioritize targets that are getting too close to Nakayama. He's your main objective to protect, after all.
  • Don't forget to grab your reward from the mission giver after you've finished talking to Nakayama!
