Master Part 22 of the Crysis walkthrough. Learn strategies to defeat General Kyong, escape the collapsing cavern, and navigate the treacherous alien core.
Walkthrough
- 1After defeating Kyong, re-supply your ammo, prioritizing the Precision Rifle and shotgun.
- 2Meet Helena Rosenthal at the elevator and inform her of her father's death.
- 3After the elevator falls, re-supply ammo from scattered cartons.
- 4Head south from the elevator and up the stairs, crossing the metal walkway into the tunnel.
- 5Knock aside obstructing bars and enter the steaming crevasse.
- 6Navigate the alien core, noting that the suit's radar has failed. Follow the semi-organic, crystalline path.
- 7Enter a circular portal leading to a circular tunnel, then a hatch to a more open walkway.
- 8An alien sentinel may hover above; do not shoot it as it cannot be damaged and will drift away.
- 9Continue along the alien walkway until gravity is lost. Wait for your visor frost to clear before moving.
- 10Enter the brightly glowing portal to your right and move through the alien tube.
- 11Dislodge bars on a partially barred portal on the right and follow the alien squid into the crystalline maze, moving toward the blue light.
- 12When you see a frigid haze pouring from an overhead gap, armor up as the creature will ram you.
- 13When you see the corkscrew-like device, blast the bright filament on the right to stop the current.
- 14Continue along the glowing corkscrew device and enter the crystalline tube.
- 15At the spot with multiple paths, take the structured blinking portal. A denizen will confront you during a cutscene.
- 16Move into that portal and follow the structured tunnel until you must dislodge bars on the left to penetrate deeper.
- 17Enter another structured passage and then a large chamber with five active power cells that must be destroyed to stop the current.
- 18Destroy the power cells by shooting their glowing filaments. Aliens will attack while you do this.
- 19Prioritize destroying the first two filaments quickly, then use cloaking to avoid aliens while destroying the remaining ones. A shotgun blast or Precision Rifle shot is effective against the aliens.
- 20Take the yellow-bordered portal where the current was emerging to escape.
Tips
- Save Precision Rifle ammo for the Kyong fight. Toggle the SCAR to single-shot for better control and use the scope sighting.
- A rifle grenade can deal significant damage to Kyong.
- Headshots are the most damaging against Kyong.
- If you have twenty rounds of Precision Rifle ammo, it can defeat Kyong in about ten shots.
- Use armor and go prone when Kyong fires his minigun.
- After Kyong is defeated, re-supply with the Precision Rifle (with reflex sight) and a shotgun.
- If both Precision Rifle and minigun ammo are low, take a submachine gun with the shotgun.
- When navigating the alien core, be mindful of disorientation due to lost gravity and frosted visor.
- Do not waste ammo on the alien sentinel.
- When destroying power cells, focus on speed and evasion rather than killing all aliens. Cloaking is essential.
- Progression to Chapter 7: Core.
- Acquisition of the Minigun (if not already obtained).
