Navigate alien passages and energy fields in Crysis Part 23. Learn how to deal with squid and find essential ammo.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Move through passages, veering left at the fully grated portal. Knock out obstructing grates to continue.
  2. 2
Turn left into the structured passage leading to another portal and a large chamber.
  3. 3
A squid will confront you; use your shotgun at point-blank range. Stock up on shotgun ammo in side grottos. Take incendiary ammo for the FY71. A minigun is also available; replace your submachine gun with it if you have one, or if your Precision Rifle is low on ammo.
  4. 4
Opposite your entry, look through a glass portal to the chamber beyond and note the cycling of obstructive energy fields.
  5. 5
To the left of the viewing port, a tunnel leads into that chamber.
  6. 6
Bear right exiting the tunnel and prepare for approximately eight squid. It is not necessary to eliminate them all.
  7. 7
Move toward the first transparent energy field. Wait for the blaze of light after which the obstructing field will drop.
  8. 8
Once past the first field, remain cloaked. Confront the menace when recharging, then re-cloak.
  9. 9
Take note of the light flashing and move through both obstructions as they clear.
  10. 10
Past the fields, enter the left portal where the current is entering to be whisked to another large cavern.
  11. 11
A squid or two patrol this chamber; raid grottos for shotgun shells and minigun ammo if you have it. The exit is at the west end, beyond a crystalline apparatus, and is not available yet.
  12. 12
At the far eastern end, a glass barrier reveals a huge invasion force of alien squid. Increased alien activity and more squid will enter your chamber.
  13. 13
Your goal is to get to the now glowing exit portal on the far west end. Stay along the left wall. Firing on squid increases their awareness and aggression.
  14. 14
Recharge to maximize cloaked time as you get near the exit. With luck and an active cloak, push through the numerous squid guarding it.
  15. 15
Start across the chamber toward the exit gateway. Allow your cloak to recharge, and when the lights die, continue pushing forward.
  16. 16
When lights come back on, squid will attack. Get into the exit alcove and into a corner.
  17. 17
Kill attacking squid point blank with the Precision Rifle, shotgun, or other weapons; melee them if necessary. De-cloak to shoot and cloak to regain health if hit.
  18. 18
After four or five kills, the apparatus in front of the door will start to power up. A few more kills will enable it, expelling you from the alien core.
  19. 19
You emerge onto a tropical island that has turned frigid near an expanding alien sphere. Locate the Marines.
  20. 20
Go right from your starting point. The path down the mountainside is linear. Avoid the majority or all of the squid by using cloaking tactics; fighting them all will likely get you killed and tax your ammo.
  21. 21
Just beyond wreckage with munitions, the path turns hard right. Half a dozen squid will congregate there. Avoid a pitched battle by carefully cloaking past them.
  22. 22
Continue downgrade. If fighting, grab shotgun ammo in the shack beyond the shallow crevasse, but be aware this side trip attracts additional attacks. Bypassing the shack is advised.
Tips
  • The cloak lasts a long while when you aren’t moving or shooting through it, so be patient.
  • Combat with squid is largely an option; focus on evasion and cloaking.
  • The tropical island has turned frigid; keep moving to avoid freezing.
  • Squid corpses explode shortly after death; avoid being backed into a corner when fighting them.
  • There are areas where you can recharge if your stealth tactics have kept them off your tail. Move slowly to conserve energy.
