Helena Douglas is the President and CEO of DOATEC (Dohma Obstacle Training and Education Center). For years, the scientist Donovan ruled DOATEC from the shadows, twisting the company with his Project Alpha and coordinating the assassination of Fame Douglas, Helena's father and the founder of DOATEC. The struggles with DOATEC eventually claimed the life of Helena's mother as well.

Seeking to end this tragedy, Helena destroyed the original DOATEC. She initiated the self-destruct sequence, and DOATEC headquarters exploded around her, incinerating both Donovan's evil and her own personal tragedy. From the ashes of the old DOATEC, Helena created a new DOATEC and called out to all fighters for Dead or Alive 5.
