Kasumi is a ninja belonging to the Tenjinmon sect of the Mugen Tenshin ninja clan. She departed from her village in pursuit of her brother, Hayate, who is missing. This act of leaving the village violated the code of the shinobi, resulting in her being pursued as a traitor by her half-sister, Ayane.

Currently, Kasumi is on the trail of Alpha-152, a weaponized clone of herself that was developed by the multinational conglomerate DOATEC. With new intelligence provided by Helena, Kasumi is now endeavoring to uncover more clues regarding Alpha-152's location.
