The Power Blow system, introduced in Dead or Alive 5, is a powerful offensive mechanic. It can only be triggered once per round and requires your character to have less than half health. When these conditions are met, your character's health bar (HUD (heads-up display — the on-screen icons showing health, ammo and the minimap) - Heads-Up Display showing game information) will begin flashing red, indicating that you can charge up a Power Blow.
If you successfully land a Power Blow, it will inflict massive damage on your opponent. While each character has unique moves that initiate a Power Blow, the input method is consistent. You must press the Power (P) and Kick (K) buttons simultaneously (L1 by default on a controller). Immediately after, you need to input a specific direction on the analog stick or D-Pad. The exact button combination and direction required for your chosen character can be found on the character select screen.
