Walkthrough
  1. 1
Enter the Console area and find the CODEX ENTRY "UAC Personnel / VEGA".
  2. 2
Proceed to open the airlock. Optionally grab Gas or Ammo. Stop approximately 115 meters before the waypoint.
  3. 3
Look for a green-lit Maintenance Hatch and enter it.
  4. 4
In one shaft, find COLLECTIBLE 12.1 "Hell Guard Model / Quakeguy" (SECRET 12.1) and BFG ammo in the next shaft.
  5. 5
Drop into the main area from the first shaft, where approximately 5 Imps await.
  6. 6
Locate another ground-level Maintenance Door followed by a green-lit hatch in the floor.
  7. 7
Drop down to the area with the Security Switches.
  8. 8
Mission 12: First Switch Fight: Activate the first switch. Many Imps, Possessed Soldiers, and Revenants will spawn. The second switch does not trigger new spawns. This multistory area contains many pickups and is reused for the next fight.
  9. 9
Mission 12: Security Shutdown Fight: Flip the second switch. Disabling security causes 2 Cacodaemons and a Cyber-Mancubus to spawn. This fight can be won with a single BFG shot if you advance about 5 seconds after disabling security.
  10. 10
Mission 12: Cooling Access Fight: Engage a few Possessed Securities, 3 Pinkies, and a Mancubus scattered across about 4 rooms. A Health Station and CODEX ENTRY "Monsters / Revenant" are nearby. Two Elevator Shafts contain 2 Possessed Soldiers and BFG ammo.
  11. 11
Mission 12: Finding the Blue Keycard: Near the Health Station, find a bloody side area with entrails and a chainsaw. Enter and locate a hatch.
  12. 12
Drop down to face several Possessed Engineers, The Possesseds, and 2 Spectres. Collect the Blue Keycard.
  13. 13
Go through the Blue Door. Turn left to find the Auto Map (if not already found) and proceed through another Blue Door.
  14. 14
You will find SECRET 12.2, ELITE GUARD 12.2, and be surprised by a Revenant.
  15. 15
Behind the crate the Elite Guard leans on is a Lever. Pull it to open access to the classic Doom level.
  16. 16
Return past the Blue Keycard area and look for nested crude circles on the map. This marks SECRET 12.5, CLASSIC MAP 12.1 "Doom - Command Control".
  17. 17
Look down the shaft the Revenant emerged from. Find a Mega Health and drop down to collect it.
  18. 18
You should be on a rectangular duct in a large icy tunnel.
  19. 19
Drop down the other way for SECRET 12.3, COLLECTIBLE 12.2: "Cyber-Mancubus Model, Jungleguy". Walk along the duct to return to the main path. Enter the door to a tunnel.
  20. 20
This tunnel drops you into a lobby. Continue onward.
  21. 21
Mission 12: Fight: Coolant Generator Room: Destroy four Switches to reroute energy. The order does not seem to matter.
    • Switch 1: 2 Cacodaemons, a Summoner, Possessed Soldiers, Hell Razers, and Imps spawn.
  22. 22
Switch 2: A Hell Baron, 2 Pinkies, another Summoner, and 4 Lost Souls spawn.
  23. 23
Switch 3: Imps, Possessed Soldiers, and Hell Razers spawn.
  24. 24
Switch 4: No new demons spawn.
  25. 25
After the Demonic Presence is eliminated and loot is collected, go to the waypoint and activate the screen.
  26. 26
Mission 12: Fight: Finale: This fight occurs in a large depot area with supplies. A well-timed BFG shot can eliminate 2 Cacodaemons, 2 Hell Barons, and other demons. Fire it at the Hell Barons as the left Cacodaemon is about to exit view.
  27. 27
The next wave includes Cyber-Mancubi, approximately 5 Pinkies, 3 Cacodaemons, and many Imps. There are 3 BFG ammo pickups available.
  28. 28
Mission 12: Destroy VEGA: A waypoint leads to a platform that ascends.
Tips
  • When enemies are low on health (20%), activate Dazed and Confused for easier Glory Kills.
  • You will receive 2 Weapon Upgrade points for killing the enemies encountered before accessing the Crucible.
  • The Crucible is a weapon that looks like a dagger with a Skull at the top.
  • For the "Variety is the Spice of Death III" combat challenge, Imps and Possessed Engineers can be Glory Killed.
  • The "Gore Pinata" challenge has many opportunities; the Equipment Rune and its upgrade are helpful.
  • For the "My Teeth are Sharper" challenge, you can jump and chainsaw if needed.
  • In the Cooling Access Fight, you can use the Berserk from the earlier fight.
  • In the Coolant Generator Room fight, a cheesy strategy involves hiding behind the lowest switch. Pinkies may group up, allowing you to use the Berserk Powerup found in the tunnel. You can also use Tactical Scope to hit the first two switches from a distance. Jump across the gap to the second switch. Go outside and jump down to the third switch, potentially chainsawing a Cyber-Mancubus that may spawn. Hide behind the third switch and use the Gauss Cannon or Siege Mode. Grab the Berserk powerup, and monsters will often fight each other.
  • There is a CODEX ENTRY "Monsters / Cyber-Mancubus" in the Coolant Generator Room.
  • Follow VEGA's suggestion to jump onto a train below to reach the final battle on Mars.
  • 2 Weapon Upgrade points (before Crucible access).
  • COLLECTIBLE 12.1 "Hell Guard Model / Quakeguy" (SECRET 12.1).
  • COLLECTIBLE 12.2: "Cyber-Mancubus Model, Jungleguy" (SECRET 12.3).
  • CLASSIC MAP 12.1 "Doom - Command Control" (SECRET 12.5).
  • Blue Keycard.
  • ELITE GUARD 12.2 (SECRET 12.2).
  • CODEX ENTRY "UAC Personnel / VEGA".
  • CODEX ENTRY "Monsters / Revenant".
  • CODEX ENTRY "Monsters / Cyber-Mancubus".
