    From Zahan, sail east.

    You will eventually reach the southwestern corner of the map.

    Head northeast towards the flashing orange square on your minimap (the town of Beran).

    Dock on the coast and enter the town.

Beran:

  • Equipment Shop: Wizard's Staff (4000G), Sledgehammer (4000G), Dragonsbane (8000G), Steel Shield (2000G), Power Shield (21500G), Iron Helmet (3150G).
  • Item Shop: Medicinal Herb (8G), Antidotal Herb (10G), Holy Water (20G), Chimaera Wing (25G).
  • Inn: 30G per member.
  • Other: House of Worship (Save Point), Vault.
Tips
  • In Beran, purchase the second Power Shield for 21500G and equip it on the Hero, keeping Erdrick's Shield equipped.
  • Store the Tectonic Plate and Moonshard in the Vault.
  • Ensure you have a Yggdrasil Leaf.
  • Rest at the Inn.
  • Warning: After resting, the Prince will be sick. Stand one step north of the Prince's bed, face south, and use the Yggdrasil Leaf from the Menu (accessed by pressing Y) to administer the cure. He will rejoin your party. This is the only Inn rest in Dragon Quest II requiring this action.
  • After the Prince is cured, leave Beran.
  • To obtain another Yggdrasil Leaf, Zoom to Burrowell and sail east to Yggdrasil Island.
