Walkthrough

You'll enter Wellspring Cave, which is home to familiar monsters and a new threat: the Cobra King. These guys can poison your party, so be ready with Antidotal Herbs or the Heal spell.

Head north and then east until you reach some water. There's a chest directly south of you. Open it to find a Medicinal Herb.

Now, take the path heading east, then turn south, and finally west. You'll find another chest containing about 84 Gold.

Return to the water area. Look for an eastern path shrouded in darkness. Follow it to a set of stairs leading downwards.

Downstairs, you'll find an NPC who talks about the Wellspring. There's no treasure here, so you can skip this if you're in a hurry.

Head back up and take the northern path. Follow it east, then west, and finally southwest. You'll discover a Treasure Chest holding an Antidotal Herb.

Continue north to reach the actual Wellspring of the Hero. Speak with the attendant here. They'll fully restore your HP for free!

When the attendant asks if you're looking for the Prince, answer "Yes." They'll tell you that the Prince is waiting for you back in Midenhall.

Important Note: If the attendant doesn't mention the Prince, it means you haven't spoken to the King of Cannock yet. You'll need to backtrack to Cannock Castle to see him before the attendant will give you the Prince's location.

Once you have the information, make your way back to the water area, then head west and south to find the exit from the cave.

Tips

Keep an eye on your HP, especially after fighting Cobra Kings, as poison can chip away at your health quickly.
The 84G might not seem like much, but every bit counts early on!
Don't forget to talk to the King of Cannock if the Wellspring attendant doesn't mention the Prince – it's a crucial step!
