El Ciclo (Present)

Exit El Ciclo and head to the large tower in the east, formerly Pomposo’s studio.

Talk to the NPC at the entrance; expect battles as the place is monster-infested.

Explore the first floor, walk over damaging floor tiles on the right to find a chest containing a Bow Tie.

Go through the door on the right. Hit the switches in both the left and right corners to open the door in between.

On the next floor, take the eastern conveyor belt. Open the two pots to find a Seed of Resilience in one.

On the western conveyor belt, stand on the second column from the left to avoid falling.

Ignore the southern doorway as it leads to a dead end. Continue north to fight two Prancing Pillars (they can siphon MP with Weird Dance).

Continue east and south to fight another pair of Prancing Pillars.

Take the doorway into the middle area, drop down the hole onto the floating turtle, and step on the switch to reach a new area.

Find a stone slab south of your starting position. It reads: “to quell the dragon’s blazing might, give the beast the gift of sight.”

North of the slab is a dragon head not spewing fire. Take the red gem nearby and insert it into the dragon’s head to the east.

Go north, hit the switch to open a gate, and open the nearby chest for a Silk Tuxedo.

Remove the gem and go to the northern section of the map to find another dragon’s head. Insert the gem, then exit west.

In the next area, solve the statue puzzle: there are four statues and four switches. Each switch rotates three statues 90 degrees. The solution is to hit each switch once, then hit the NE and SE switches. This will make all statues face the center and open the gate in the southeast.

Proceed through the gate to the doorway. Climb the outside stairs to the top of the tower and flip the lever to drain the water.

Drop down the hole. Find four switches to open the path to the treasure room: one behind the stone slab in the northwest, one past the damage tiles in the northeast, one through the doorway in the water, and one revealed under the middle statue that disappears.

Enter the treasure room and collect the Yellow Fragment, Green Fragment, Mini Medal (#44), and Seed of Wisdom from the chests.

To quickly reach the bottom, take the doorway in the southeast and drop off the balconies.
