The early game in Dreams of Aether can be challenging, but understanding the core mechanics of Aether manipulation is key to survival. This guide will cover the basics of Aether, how to encode it for personal enhancement, and strategies to ensure you can thrive from the start.

What is Dream Aether?

Dream Aether is the primordial energy of the universe, undetectable and pure. It can be absorbed from the atmosphere or, more dangerously, from dead bodies, which also contain the deceased's memories. The more spiritually evolved creatures in an area, the faster Aether grows, creating a cycle of evolution.

Properties of Aether:

• Aether is attracted to itself.
• Aether spun centrifugally moves inward.
• Atmospheric Aether replenishes instantly and retains its density.
• Aether density increases due to its self-attraction and brain activity (thoughts, dreams).

Encoding Aether:

To use Dream Aether, it must be encoded using an Oracle Bracelet. Encoding transforms Aether into energy that enhances a person's attributes. The seven basic attributes are Strength, Agility, Constitution, Vitality, Intelligence, and Perception.

Encoding Costs and Grades:

• The cost to encode varies with volume; larger volumes are more expensive.
• Each body has a limited Aether capacity, often referred to as the 100-point limit for humans.
• Grade 1 Encoding: Free from the Oracle, allows up to 100 attribute points.
• Grade 2 Encoding: Costs 1,000 credits, allows up to 1,000 attribute points, and can include passive properties.
• Grade 3 Encoding: Allows up to 10,000 attribute points, but is significantly more expensive.

Aether Colors:

For simplicity, different Aether energies are assigned colors: Red (Strength), Orange (Agility), Yellow (Constitution), Green (Vitality), Cyan (Intelligence), and Indigo (Perception).
