Ancient Runes are a fundamental aspect of harnessing Dream Aether in the world of Dreams of Aether. This guide will delve into their properties, the process of encoding them, and their significance.

Properties:

Dream Aether, the primordial energy of the universe, possesses several key properties:

• It is attracted to itself.
• Aether spun centrifugally moves inward.
• Aether absorbed from the atmosphere is instantly replenished and retains its density.

According to the textbook 'Novice Aether Manipulation,' Aether is infinite and the source of all energy and matter. Its density increases over time due to self-renewal, attraction to existing Aether (especially around powerful beings), and attraction to brain activity like thoughts and dreams. This makes it particularly drawn to life and intellectually evolved beings.

Encoding:

To be utilized, Dream Aether must be encoded using the Oracle Bracelet. Encoding transforms Aether into energy that enhances a person's attributes, including Strength, Agility, Constitution, Vitality, Intelligence, and Perception.

The cost to encode varies with volume. For instance, enchanting a 3 cubic meter unit with Sharpness Encoding costs 1 Aether point. Larger volumes incur higher costs, with significant price increases for volumes above 3 and 6 cubic meters. Every body has an Aether capacity limit, comparable to a bottle filling with liquid. Exceeding this limit can be detrimental.

Grades of Encoding:

Encoding comes in different grades, affecting Aether condensation and capacity:

• Grade 1: Comparable to a gas, with a maximum attribute of 100. The Oracle offers 7 primary Grade 1 Encodings for free.
• Grade 2: Comparable to a liquid, with a maximum attribute of 1,000. This grade costs 1,000 credits at the Oracle Store.
