BOSS: Rondo

Learn how to defeat Rondo, a fast and deadly boss in Eternal Strands. This guide covers her attacks, recommended party, and winning strategies to overcome her immense HP.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• HP: 467,980
• Recommended Level: 36
• Rondo's biggest threat is her incredible speed, allowing her to chain attacks rapidly.
• Most of her attacks are close-range melee, dealing multiple hits.

Phases:

1. Phase 1: Initial Assault

   Rondo starts with rapid melee combos. Her 'Fer De Lance' attack hits twice, first for around 1100 damage, then a second time for about 750 damage that knocks you down. Be ready to block these!

2. Phase 2: Area Control

   Watch out for 'Bombardment,' which can hit all targets close to Rondo within a decent radius. Keep an eye on your positioning to avoid getting caught by this.

3. Phase 3: Ultimate Attack

   'Hell Eruption' is Rondo's most devastating move, capable of dealing close to 3000 damage if unblocked. This is where blocking or evasion is crucial.

Strategy:

• Bring your three strongest fighters. Falsetto is excellent for close-range damage with 'Snow Claw.'
• If Viola is in your party, keep her at a distance and use 'Heal Arrow' to support the team.
• Even without Viola, a solid strategy is to surround Rondo with all three party members and continuously unleash Special Attacks. This 'three-on-one' approach is effective, though perhaps not the most elegant.
• This battle is largely a test of endurance, so keep up the pressure and manage your party's HP.
• After defeating Rondo, your team will earn a Heart Pendant and Death's Head.
