Follow this Fable II walkthrough to complete the A Bridge Too Far quest. Learn how to defeat Dash, find hidden chests, and earn renown.
Walkthrough
- 1Return to the Sandgoose Inn in Oakfield. Accept the quest to rid Rookridge of bandits so the bridge leading into town can be reconstructed.
- 2Backtrack out of Oakfield into Rookridge. Make your way to the broken bridge, turn left at the intersection just before it, and follow the bandits up the hill.
- 3Continue up the stairs and enter the Rookridge Inn. You will be attacked by several bandits. Clear the lower level, then fight your way upstairs.
- 4An updated objective will appear: Kill the bandit leader, Dash. Before following him out the back door, check the second bedroom on the left on the second floor for a chest.
- 5Exit via the door on the top floor of the inn and descend the external stairs. Dash will taunt you and run off.
- 6Continue along the dirt path ahead, underneath the train tracks and up the stairs nearby. Defeat the small group of bandits at the top of the stairs and grab the chest tucked away behind some crates.
- 7Continue onto the train tracks. Turn right and run all the way to the end to find a silver key.
- 8Follow Dash in the other direction. At the point where the track is blocked, follow the dirt path to the right for a short detour until it re-joins the tracks.
- 9Follow the tracks back to the left until you reach the blockage to find a chest on the other side.
- 10Continue moving along the tracks until you reach the end, killing any bandits who try to stop you.
- 11Look for a dirt pathway that leads up a slope nearby to a Stonehenge-like area on your left. Enter this area.
- 12Dash will be trapped on top of one of the rock structures. Shoot him once to kill him.
- 13Grab the chest located behind where Dash was trapped for some bandit gear and gold.
- 14Return to Barnum in the Oakfield Inn to end the quest.
Tips
- This quest is a prerequisite for proceeding with the next campaign task. You will need to build up a sufficient amount of renown.
- If you do not have enough renown, consider completing side-quests, showing off trophies using the trophy expression, or getting married.
- Once you have earned enough renown, the game will update your objectives, and you will need to return to the Temple of Light.
