The Hero of Will (Part 1)

Follow this Fable II walkthrough to complete 'The Hero of Will (Part 1)' main quest. Learn how to navigate Brightwood, defeat Spire guards, and reach Brightwood Tower.

Alright, you've just finished up the last quest and now you're back in control. Before we jump straight back into the main story, it's a really good idea to take a moment to upgrade any gear you've got, knock out a few side-missions, or just explore a bit if you feel like it. It'll make things smoother later on!

When you're ready to get back to the main quest, let's fast travel to the Hero's Guild. After a quick chat with your buddies, we'll get our next objective. Use the Cullis Gate to head back to Bower Lake, and then just follow that golden breadcrumb trail. It'll lead you right into Brightwood.

Once you land in Brightwood, you should spot a big structure in the distance – that's Brightwood Tower, and it's our target. For now, just keep following the gold trail. You'll run into a couple of groups of hobbes along the way, but they're pretty standard and shouldn't give you too much trouble.

As you get close to the tower, you'll be ambushed by two groups of Spire guards. These guys are tougher than regular bandits, coming in both melee and ranged varieties. They've got boosted armor, so they'll take a beating, and their weapon damage is significantly higher too. If you haven't upgraded your abilities and gear much, these first fights can be pretty challenging!

After you defeat them, head up the stairs and into Brightwood Tower. Inside, take out the first couple of Spire guards you see. There's a chest right at the base of the stairs, so grab that. When you're ready, climb the stairs to a rooftop platform where you'll face several waves of those annoying Spire guards. Keep at it until they stop coming.

Once the fighting's done, make your way across the rooftop and through the open doorway on the far side. Climb the stairs inside, and you'll trigger a cutscene. And that's it – quest complete!
