You'll start 'The Hit' after surviving four separate ambushes from assassins sent to kill you. Each ambush yields a piece of a map. The assassins attacked me in Westcliff, The Bandit Coast, Bloodstone, and Rookridge, but these locations might vary for you. Once you have all four map pieces, the quest will update.

With the quest active, follow the gold dust trail leading into Brightwood. This trail will guide you directly to the entrance of the Forsaken Fortress.

Continue along the path towards the fortress until you reach some castle ruins. Bandits will be swarming the area. Your quest objective will update, telling you to kill Darius Zing. Take out all the bandits here, and Darius will attempt to flee.

Pursue Darius. He'll try to escape again, and you'll need to fight off more bandits along the way. Keep following him.
