Recruit Specialists Bean and Grace Armstrong in Far Cry New Dawn. Complete 'Losing Streak' and 'Buzz Kill' missions to upgrade Prosperity.
Walkthrough
- 1To recruit Bean, travel to the mission marker for 'Losing Streak', located approximately 525 meters northwest of Prosperity. This mission is available as soon as you can explore Hope County.
- 2Consider traveling on foot from Prosperity to gather plants and hides, which can be bartered for crafting supplies and may yield additional loot.
- 3Speak to Bean, who is located at Wikibeania. He needs help retrieving his maps, intel, and business plan from his colleague Richard, who he believes is consorting with Highwaymen and gambling at a farm to the west.
- 4Agree to help Bean. After scavenging Richard's homestead, head east to the farm indicated by the marker.
- 5A plane will fly overhead and drop a supply crate containing about 40 units of ethanol and other items. You must confiscate these goods before the Highwaymen do. A yellow plume will mark the supply drop's location.
- 6Confiscating goods and killing enemies can contribute to the '5 saw launcher kills' Challenge. Consider selecting the 'Well-Armed' Perk Point to search corpses for a shotgun or another second primary weapon.
- 7Pursue frequent supply drops, as they are valuable. Hostile animals like wild dogs or boars may be attracted to firefights, offering opportunities to complete Challenges like harvesting 3 boars for 2 Perk Points.
- 8Approach the farm from the west, using the roof of a partially sunken building to scan the area. Four Highwaymen are at the farm: one sentry on the barn roof and three gambling below with Richard.
- 9Use the saw launcher to kill the sentry on the barn, then team with Carmina to eliminate the remaining Highwaymen.
- 10Warning: Pursue Richard immediately. Do not stop to scavenge at the farm, or he may escape, causing the mission to fail. Grab a shotgun from a victim if possible, but do not let Richard escape.
- 11Richard will stop in a stream and explain he was gathering intel but lost wagers. He will reveal the location of Bean's business plan before running off again.
- 12A marker will appear a short distance north at 'Dick's Hole'. Cautiously approach the site to deal with approximately four hostiles around Richard's underground bunker.
- 13You can shoot a red barrel to help eliminate hostiles, but this may attract additional enemies from the roadway. One hostile carries an LMG, which you can take, but it is advised to keep the saw launcher and shotgun.
- 14After securing and looting the site, climb down into the bunker and avoid flames to reach an unlocked safe containing the business plan.
- 15There is also a locked safe. If you have the 'Repair Torch' ability (costs 3 Perk Points) or an explosive, open it to acquire titanium. It is recommended to save Perk Points for 'Heavily Armed' (requires 4 Perk Points) to carry 3 primary weapons.
- 16Return to Bean at the marker in Bradbury Woods to the south. With his plan, Bean will head to Prosperity.
- 17Under the building at Bradbury Woods, you can find a locked safe and an audiotape, the first of ten needed for the side mission 'Audiophile'.
- 18Grace Armstrong's mission marker, 'Buzz Kill', is visible on the map as one of three when you first explore Hope County. She is one of the five Specialists that must be recruited. Her Prototype Saw Launcher can be acquired early. A suppressed rifle, bow, or saw launcher is recommended for stealth.
- 19Grace is located at the Scrapfarm and is under attack by four Highwaymen, including two snipers. One sniper is on the rooftop, and the other is on an elevated windmill platform.
- 20Climbing atop the barn provides a good sniping perch, as one Highwayman is located there.
