Silencing the Sister Ray

Guide to the 'Silencing the Sister Ray' mission in Final Fantasy VII. Learn strategies for the Hojo boss battle and navigating Sector 8.

Alright, so you've made it to one of the more intense parts of Final Fantasy VII. After a whole lot of stuff happens, including that big Diamond Weapon fight (which we'll cover separately), you'll find yourself heading back to Midgar. Professor Hojo's got the Sister Ray all charged up and ready to go, and it's up to you and the party to stop him.

Sector 8 Underground

When you fly the Highwind over Midgar, you'll parachute into Sector 8. On the second screen, the party will gather around Cait Sith. You'll get a heads-up about Hojo's plan and the Sister Ray.

The Turks Boss Battle

Before you can get too far, you'll run into the Turks again! This is your chance to take them on. They've got some tough attacks, so be ready to defend and heal. Remember, they're a recurring challenge, so use what you've learned fighting them before.

Climbing the Sister Ray

This is the big one. You'll need to make your way up the Sister Ray itself. It's a bit of a climb, and you'll face enemies along the way. Keep your party healed and your offense strong. Don't forget to grab any optional items you might find – you never know what might be useful later!

Hojo Boss Battle

Finally, you'll confront Professor Hojo. He's got some nasty tricks up his sleeve, and his attacks can be quite damaging. Make sure your party is in good shape before you engage him. Focus on exploiting his weaknesses and keeping your HP high. This is a tough fight, but you've got this!

After the Battle

Once Hojo is dealt with, you'll have a bit of a breather. The events that unfold here are pretty significant, so just follow the story. You'll be moving on to the next major part of your journey soon enough!
