- 1From the roof area, use the zoomed revolver to eliminate two Overwatch Battalion Guards (OBGs) at the cased opening. Reposition to the security station (SS) leading to hidden floor Manhacks (MGTs), send the team to safety, and then destroy the MGTs with a grenade (G).
- 2Wait for turret #2 to reset. Rush into the room and destroy the rising MGT with a grenade as a team member triggers the laser plane. Evade enemy fire from the stairwell by moving to the far end of the partition. Use the shotgun (SG) to eliminate two OBGs, being prepared for reinforcements. Call your team if survivors exist and proceed upstairs to the next set of floor MGTs.
- 3Enter the cell area, free prisoners, and arm them. Send them back to the far side of the room. Run to the MGTs covering Generator Room #1 and destroy them.
- 4After destroying Generator #1, exit via your EMP (EP) and navigate through a series of turns to the lockdown room. You and your team will be locked in a large room. Sprint towards the exit portal (XP), place a mine, and direct your team to cover behind shelves. Pull down all Stalker enemies (SCs) from the shelves. Avoid shooting the Battalion Guards (BGs) as they cut through walls; this is Barney's role.
- 5Reposition your team. Use a first-person (FP) position on a raised object aligned with the XP. Ensure you are holding the pulse rifle (PR) as OBGs cluster at the opening. Use a mine to distract them as they disperse, then use a pulse rifle (PB) through the XP. Engage any surviving BGs with PR fire.
- 6As the EMP begins to sizzle, reposition your team. Target the EMP with a second mine to eliminate two BGs. Reload supplies, move to the XP, and reposition your team to the EP side of the room. Sprint through the XP into Generator Room #3 and destroy generator #3. Heal and backtrack to the main hall.
- 7Jump at the head of the staircase and sprint up to another hallway (Hlwy). Continue to the first EMP on your right, enter, reconfigure the mine, and drop it. This is the "Mine and Security Laser Room." Defend the room's EMP while you deactivate the security system.
- 8Go straight through the EMP, jump onto machinery, then walk left to an elevation change. Hop onto it, run, and jump to a lower dark object. Run and jump over lasers to the floor. Move around a circular device and hop onto pipes.
- 9Jump onto shelving, turn right, and jump to the next mid-shelf. Walk to the left end, turn right, and hop to the next dark object. Turn left, orient to the next shelf leading to the security switch, long jump to it, and then down to the floor. Deactivate the security system, grab all pulse rifle (PB) ammo, and heal. Mines and lasers deactivate. Place a mine to take with you. Wait for the team and head for Generator Room #2. Drop the mine halfway between the security station (SS) and the EMP to Generator Room #2. Enter, heal, and absorb any goodies, then use your EMP (GGP+) on Generator #3.
- 10Exit, head right to the mine, use your EMP (GGP-) on it, and continue to the main hall. Use your EMP (GGP+) on the mine at your XP, the cased opening to the roof, then sprint to the main hall's ground floor. Switch to the PR. If BGs are clustering around the cased opening, use a PB on them and rush the Hlwy. Strafe right upon entering; another group of BGs will appear at the far end of the Hlwy leading to the roof. Use another PB. Quickly use your EMP (GG), EMP (-) the nearest mine, and send it to the remaining BGs. Sprint to the next mine and repeat. Switch to the PR and sprint to the opening if any survive the second mine.
- 11Once complete, max out your weapon drops (WDs), collect goodies, and use your EMP (-) a mine on your way out. Wait for Barney to finish his monologue and open the barrier door.
Revised Route Note: A revised route reverses the order of Generators #2 and #3. The original route caused more BGs and endangered the rebel group, leading to Barney's death. The reversed order helps stabilize enemy encounters.
Tips
- Use the zoomed revolver with 400dpi mouse sensitivity for precise one-shot kills on OBGs from a distance.
