When you find Ethan in his apartment, Madison may arrive. You will have a choice to kiss her or not. Not kissing skips ahead to Madison leaving. Kissing leads to a lovemaking scene and has a significant effect on the game's ending.

If you choose to kiss, follow the prompts to undress Madison (Hold R1, L1, and Up to remove her jacket; R1 and Up to remove Ethan's shirt; Up to remove Madison's shirt; R1 and L1 with a counterclockwise turn to unhook her bra).

After the scene, have Ethan slip out of bed (slow counterclockwise turn from the left, then a slow clockwise turn from the left) and stand up.

Pick up Ethan's clothes from the floor and his jacket from the chair. Two items will fall from Madison's jacket.

Examining these items triggers an argument. You must choose to either forgive Madison or ask her to leave. Forgiving her earns the "Lover Boy" Trophy, while refusing earns the "Unforgiveable" Trophy.

Madison leaves Ethan's room. On her way out, she sees police near the office.

You can choose to have Madison drive away on her motorcycle, leaving Ethan, or use the office phone to warn Ethan.

To warn Ethan, call room 207 (press [O]).

If you fail to warn him, police will catch Ethan. To escape, shove the controller up and tap the analog stick Right. Failing these actions results in Ethan's arrest before the chase begins.

If Madison is already dead, Ethan must pick himself up (hold R1, L1, and Up). Police arrive when he steps onto the balcony or goes out the front door; escape via the balcony. If you linger, the phone rings; answering it leads to an ambush, requiring the shove up and tap Right commands to escape.

The police chase sequence involves the following inputs: Up, [Triangle], Up, [X], Mash [X], Shove right, Down, Right (when prompted to choose left or right), Up (when prompted to choose up or down), L1+R1, Mash [Square], Down, Up, Mash L1+R1, Left (when prompted to choose left or up), [Square], Up, [O]+[X]+[Square], [O]+[Triangle]+[Square], Down, Mash L1+R1, Down, [Square], Up, Mash [O].

At the end of the chase, choose between jumping off the roof or surrendering. Jumping may cause minor injury but allows escape.

Pick yourself up by mashing [Triangle] and steal a ride by mashing [X].

If Ethan is caught, he is seen begging Jayden (or empty air) for help and will not be seen again until the ending.

If Ethan escapes, you earn the "Escape Master" Trophy.
