Arrive at the crime scene and approach the officers. Show your badge when asked.

Duck under the police tape and approach the crime scene.

You will be introduced to ARI (Augmented Reality Investigation). Equip ARI by pressing R1. Use it to highlight clues. Put ARI away with a clockwise rotation of the right analog stick and pull it out with a counterclockwise rotation.

Find Lieutenant Blake on the far left of the field and talk to him. Walk with him as you ask questions.

Head to the small tent with the body, located next to a floodlight. Crouch to enter.

Inside the tent, tap R1 and tilt the left analog stick to examine clues. The five clues are: a cut on the leg, an origami figure in the hand (tap Down to examine the boy's identity), an orchid on the chest, and mud on the face.

Exit the tent and head north toward the railroad tracks, using R1 to sweep for clues.

Examine the orchid pollen floating in the air north of the tent (tap Up).

Examine the blood on the railroad tracks.

Examine the footprints just beyond the railroad tracks.

Examine the blood on the fence past the railroad tracks, next to a muddy hill leading to the highway.

Climb the hill to the highway. This involves three slopes requiring specific button inputs:

• Slope 1: Hold [O], [Triangle], L1, R1, [X], and [Square] two at a time, releasing the first as the next appears.

Slope 2: Hold [Square], [X], R1, L1, [O], and [Triangle].

Slope 3: Hold [O], [Triangle], R2, L2, R1, and L1.

Once on the highway, examine the footprints and tire tracks.

Return to the crime scene. The descent is easier:

• Slope 1: Tap L1 and R1 simultaneously, then L2 and R2.

Slope 2: Mash L1 and R1.

Slope 3: Tap L2+R1 and L1+R2.
