The ending of Heavy Rain is largely consistent across different character playthroughs, with the primary determinant being whether at least one of the main heroes (Ethan, Norman, or Madison) reaches the warehouse. If any hero successfully arrives, the game concludes similarly. However, if none of the heroes reach the warehouse, Shaun dies, and the game ends without resolution.

The specific combinations of heroes arriving at the warehouse lead to variations in the final confrontation. If Ethan reaches the warehouse alone, he faces the Origami Killer without intervention, with the option to kill him.
