Heavy Rain: Guide Sleazy Place

Alright, so you've just finished up with Ethan's intro and his whole sob story. Now, the game's gonna toss you into the shoes of our second character, Scott Shelby. He's a private investigator, and he's heading to this pretty run-down apartment complex. His mission? To dig into the Origami Killer case. Let's get started.

Walkthrough

First things first, get out of the car and head into the building. Your goal here is to find the receptionist and ask about Lauren Winter. When he plays dumb, you'll need to pull out your wallet – this usually gets people talking.

After that, make your way upstairs and go to the end of the hallway. Look for the door on your left and give it a knock. You'll get a prompt to tap up to hold Lauren's door open – don't worry if you miss it, just knocking again works too. Head on in and place your money on the table.

When you get close to Lauren, Scott will explain why he's there. You'll be given a few conversation choices to try and get her to open up about her son. Pick two of these options. After that, you'll have a choice between "Trick" or "Buy." You'll want to select "Trick" by pressing [O]. This opens up a few more questions you can ask her, and completing this will snag you the "Private Eye" Trophy by the end of the chapter. Regardless of your choices, she'll eventually tell you to leave. Put your card down on the table and head back out into the hall.

You won't get far before Scott has a pretty bad asthma attack. You'll need to reach for his inhaler – tap Right to pull it out of his coat pocket. Then, press R1 a few times to help him get his breathing back under control.

While you're both recovering, you'll hear a knock on Lauren's door. A shady character lets himself in. If the screams weren't a clue, you need to get back to her room, fast. Knock on the door twice, then shove the controller down to kick it open. This is where the game throws its first real fight sequence at you, with Scott and the intruder going at it.

Tips

Don't stress too much if you mess up a command during these fight sequences. The fight will continue, though Scott might take more damage. You won't die if you fail, as the game isn't that punishing yet.
However, if you want the "White Knight" Trophy, you absolutely need to win this fight. So, pay close attention to the prompts!
