Environmental Hazards

These are the things the planet throws at you that aren't directly an enemy unit. They can range from annoying to downright deadly, and they often affect how you move and fight.

Common Hazards

• Acid Rain: Expect heavy, corrosive downpours that deal damage over time. You'll see the sky darken and hear the tell-tale sizzle. Try to find cover or use smoke grenades to mask your movement. Standing in it for too long will melt you faster than a Charger's charge.
• Earthquakes: The ground will start shaking violently. This can knock you off your feet, disrupt your aim, and even cause structures to collapse. Keep your balance by crouching or bracing yourself against cover. Don't try to reload or aim down sights when the big shakes hit.
