The Terminid Warrior is one of the most common and persistent enemies players will face in Helldivers 2, serving as the bread-and-butter infantry of the bug horde. While not as individually threatening as some of the larger Terminid monstrosities, their sheer numbers and relentless aggression make them a constant nuisance and a significant threat when encountered in large swarms. They are fast, agile, and capable of dealing moderate damage in close to medium range engagements.

Effective Tactics for Dealing with Warriors

• Area of Effect Weapons: Due to their tendency to swarm, weapons and Stratagems that can affect multiple targets are highly effective. Grenades, flamethrowers, and machine guns with high rates of fire can quickly thin out their ranks. The AR-61 Tenderizer, with its high damage, can also be effective if you can land multiple shots.
• Controlled Bursts: While they are fast, Warriors are not heavily armored. Controlled bursts of fire from assault rifles or submachine guns can effectively take them down. Aim for the head for critical damage.
• Kiting and Movement: Warriors are aggressive and will charge at Helldivers. Maintaining mobility and kiting them can prevent them from surrounding you. Strafing and using cover are essential to avoid taking unnecessary damage.
• Prioritize Threats: While Warriors are numerous, they are often accompanied by more dangerous Terminids like Bile Titans or Chargers. If you're facing a mixed group, it's usually best to deal with the larger threats first, but don't let the Warriors overwhelm you in the meantime.
• use Stratagems: Stratagems like the Eagle Strafing Run or the Gatling Turret can provide excellent support in clearing out waves of Warriors, allowing your squad to focus on other objectives or more dangerous enemies.
• Melee Counter: In a pinch, a well-timed melee attack can stagger or even kill a Warrior, especially if they are already weakened.
• Environmental Hazards: Be aware of your surroundings. Sometimes, leading Warriors into environmental hazards like explosive barrels or dense foliage can help thin their numbers.
