Think of it as getting your character ready for battle – you'll be picking up skills and making choices that are just as important as any piece of armor you might find.

The game is all about taking your chosen hero on challenging raids. Your main goal? To complete specific objectives, like surviving a brutal winter or taking down tough bosses, all before a timer runs out. Once you've cleared those objectives, it's time to summon the big bad and take them down!

You'll be looking at the action from an overhead perspective, with waves of enemies constantly trying to get to you. You start with just your basic attack and one weapon skill. But here's where the progression kicks in: enemies drop XP crystals when they're defeated. Grab these to level up, and with each level, you'll get to choose a new skill. These skills can come from the gods themselves or be part of your hero's unique abilities. Most skills and attacks will auto-cast, meaning you'll mostly be focused on moving your hero around, using your weapon skill, and dodging with dashes.

• Keep in mind that virtues from the gods apply to *all* your heroes, while hero-specific virtues only benefit that particular hero. Choose wisely based on who you're playing!
• When a raid wraps up, win or lose, you'll see a screen showing your damage per second (DPS) from attacks and autocast skills. Pay attention to this! It's a great way to figure out which skills are really pulling their weight. Try to snag three high-DPS skills if you can.
